Italian police have arrested dozens of alleged members of a gang accused of smuggling Nigerians into Europe to work as drug couriers and prostitutes. "Operation Viola" led to 51 arrests in Italy and 15 in other parts of Europe, mostly in The Netherlands. Most of the people trafficked by the gang were women and children, some of whom had been kidnapped from Nigerian orphanages, police said. An earlier phase of the operation ended in October with 23 arrests. Suspects at the time were arrested in The Netherlands, Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, the US and Nigeria. The latest suspects held by Italian police face charges relating to slavery, kidnapping and trafficking people and drugs. The crackdown was organised by anti-mafia officials in Naples, and aided by the Dutch police. A chief anti-mafia prosecutor, Pietro Grasso, said the arrests had dealt a major blow to a "dangerous" gang centred around the Nigerian city of Lagos. Police said the gang's activities had earned it hundreds of thousands of dollars. |

seun i must say i am not impressed with ur attitude, you come across as if your opinion is the only valid opinion, whatever you like has to go, because you so happen to be the creator of this forum, it shouldnt account for your dictatorial tendencies. for example d issue of sex, u just said nobody should discuss sex, why, what are your reasons, not because you do not like something should you then impose your views on others, we practice democracy, not autocracy. pls do not be offended but think about it also why shoudlnt we discuss rape, what is wrong with discussing issues of rape, since it is a social vice, i would recommend that u examine urself, it is easy to criticise govt officials, but you are guilty of the same thing |

What is so difficult about asking you to provide the link to substantiate your argument or post. Kai Nigerians are so quick to judge people. It you go to court with our evidence your case will be thrown out the window, same premise with posting a topic without link |

This story is true, I read it on dutch news paper, But is not a news any more because several of this kind of incidence happens every now and then what about the Albania, Italian, Russians, Dutch. The story was not true that they sell children who's children did they sell, It is a normal runs that we all are aware of, People bringing inn girls to hustle for them and pay back, Nigerians simply conpied it from the eastern block people, these people have been in the business for ages before Naija people enlisted their name in the trade, so what is the big deal? |
