One would expect that those army officers who did not approve secession would give Ojukwu a showdown. Why did you not remove him by organising a bloodless coup d’état? http://www.tellng.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=854:ojukwu-was-a-dictator-%E2%80%93-phillip-effiong&Itemid=164 1 Like |

Ojukwu was a man who lacked system. He didn’t like to work through organisation. Nominally, I knew very little of what was going on and initially I knew nothing. It was at the later stages that I got to know a little bit. Ojukwu kept everything under his personal control. He used civilians a lot and tended to look down on the military. Hence losing the war and running like a pusyyyyyyyy right? lmao 3 Likes |

Eko Ile: [size=13pt]if he only he begined with the end in mind, maybe the war would never had started. Luke 14 28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’ 31 “Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32 If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. chosen04: Wow!!! Thank God for "THE WAS A COUNTRY" Indeed! If ibos are okay with being starved to death by ojuku, denied food and medicines for weapons by ojukwu, women and children dying from kwashiokor, HECK, the whole world CAN AND DID! if Ojukwu did not see anything wrong in them dying for his stupid ambition, may they get what they deserve. To Acheve, he is really an angry tribalistic ibo man whose opinion counts for nothing. He wrote a lying, one-sided book, so what? Tell him: if ibos start this stupidity again in the future, Nigeria will come together AGAIN and whip them into oblivion. If they can bear and watch 20 M ibos perish, no NIGERIAN will bat an eyelid! 4 Likes |

Just look at how a biafran "General", planned and quietly took off like a class A coward. LWKMD. This was a man some brainless dolts are still calling a hero. After starving 2 million helpless children to death; the power thirst , egocentric coward ran away.He tried to rule the country in Nigeria and was staunchly check matad by northern mafias, only to hurriedly declare secession without any machinery on ground. When the heat became too much on the poor sod, he relocated to a serene environment, established a business and took in a new wife. Yeah, There was really a country filled with zombies. It does not change the fact that 1000000 Yoruba cannot make one Ikemba. Its a feat Imagine if the war wad between dirty Yoruba and common Ijaw minority, yorrobbers would have been finished with 48hrs. Igbos has the best and brightest that Nigeria can offer. Zik -first president (has any Yoruba got to that feat?) Emeka Anyaoku (commonwealth secretary general) has any Yoruba got to that feat?) Achebe is Africa’s most powerful celebrity – Forbes (has any Yoruba got to that feat?) Emeagwali -Father of Internet (has any Yoruba got to that feat?) Chike Obi -first professor of mathematics in Africa. (has any Yoruba got to that feat?) Just to mention a few. It will take YORROBBER kneeling to the Igbos to be able to achieve anything meaningful As for Soyenka he was just a common cultist, known in his university days for that. In the case of Awoalowoa he was just a war criminal, ex-convict, treasonable felon..name it. Infact no wonder yoorobbers does not have a single role model to look up to. 8 Likes |

What I find amazing about the Yoruba on this thread, is the idea that if they shout abuse long enough that will change the truth of what Achebe said. Just the normal agbero tactics. Please I am not Ibo. Just an amused bystander. 2 Likes |

Please I am not Ibo. Just an amused bystander. Achebe didn't said s&hit we don't already know. Typical igbo foolishness. They expected the the Yoruba nation to dance to their tune. As he wrote "It was my impression that..." His impression was that Awolowo should stand aside while Ojukwu and his dimwit ibo recruits march on Lagos. Èwọ̀ọ̀!!! And then it was his impression that Awolowo should be feeding Ojukwu's dimwitted sojas while they fight the federation. We are not impressed by Achebe's impression. 3 Likes |

SIX LEADERS OF BLACK AFRICA Chief Obafemi Awolowo, 49, of the powerful Yoruba tribe, dedicated, teetotaling Prime Minister of the Western Region of Nigeria who began as a barrister, has gradually emerged as a statesman of integrity in a land where charges of corruption are the political order of the day. His fellow Prime Minister to the more populous but primitive north, the Sardauna of Sokoto, is a haughty Moslem nobleman out of another century. Nigeria's other regional Prime Minister, the demagogic, U.S.-educated Nnamdi ["Zik"] Azikiwe of the Ibo tribe to the east, lives under a cloud as a result of a financial scandal in his administration. So rent by divisions (250 tribes speaking 400 languages), Nigeria has a compromise federal Prime Minister, Abubakar Balewa, a northerner. "To many of us," says Awolowo, "Britain is our second home. We have thrown no stones, fired no shot, and we have not shed a drop of British blood. We are attaining independence by peaceful, orderly and democratic methods." http://raila2012.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=423:six-leaders-of-black-africa&catid=34:articles-on-raila-frontpage Suxcs to be AGIPA for real...lmao 3 Likes |

Igbos were busy making money. when he died, their hero died they all came for burial thank God am not Igbo |

Duh its not rocket science to understand that dictatorship is a xteristic of military rule thus all military rulers are dictators!! Y do yorobz score points by defaming ikemba? Most igbos respect him for taking a stand against injustice nd no about how the war was handled!! From$ aburi to his handling of the makurdi massacres to his refusable to say yes to northern domination! These make him a god! But on the other hand awo ( tribalist technocrat no doubt) is def nigerias most diabolical |

Eko Ile: SIX LEADERS OF BLACK AFRICA You are a natural clown. You ediots meant the law degree awolowoa got at age of 58. Great Zik of Africa the first president of Nigeria, got five different degrees from different US university before the age of 27. What a feat. Awoaolowo is a regional local champion, a war criminal, an ex-convict, a treasonable felon and a suicide bomber. He killed himself in one of his exploits.. 3 Likes |
