Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Peter Rufai last night slumped in his office in Lagos, reports say.

According to reports, the retired goalkeeper was rushed to Toki Hospital, off Adeniran Ogunsanya, after he suddenly collapsed.

“I just got a call now from Bruce who is the younger brother of soccer icon Peter Rufai,” Mr. Tijani, a journalist posted on his Facebook page.

He further quoted Bruce as saying, “Kayode, just to let you know we have a situation on our hands.your friend, my brother Peter Rufai yesterday night just suddenly slumped at the office.

“We rushed him to Toki Hospital off Adeniran Ogunsanya where he is now. The doctors are doing everything possible though he’s not really come around yet and they don’t know yet what the real cause of the slump is.

“He’s been taking the death of our 78-year-old mum badly since last week. We are really praying here for his health.”

49-year-old Peter Rufai played for Nigeria between 1983 and 1998, and started a youth sports development programme following his return home from Europe. He had 65 international caps for the Eagles.

The ex-international’s mother, Christiana, died last week, and that has left him devastated.

Guys I encourage us to regularly go for BP and LPD test. The rate at which young men are dying of heart attack is alarming. Just last week a young corper serving at Uyo, walked into a saloon, collasped and died. RIP to his soul.

What happened to Dosu?

Wishing you speedy recovery, Rufai.

At 78, I don't think you should be too devastated by her death at such old age, even though I understand that no one wants his parents to leave him no matter how old. It doesn't appear his slump is related to the old woman's death.

Get well soon, Dodo mayana.

I wish him quick recovery.

But, i think everyone of us should make out time once in a while to do a check up
on our state of health.

Sometime back, Sunday Bada, a former athlete just slumped and died. The cause i don't know.

If you want any form of assistance as regards how to know the state of your health, feel free
to contact me on my signature.
