This is an unfortunate incedence i dont see d reason for any blames either on the part of the pf or government policemen die almost evryday dats d hazard of their job d argument of the no dat responded should not hold waters at all i ve personally witnessed a scenario where one policeman chased a team of well armed bank robbers. A stress call was made and police responded it was so unfortunate they lost some men in the cross fire that ensured. We shud at least recognise their bravery act of responding on time

Where are the fools that always say sh1t about why armed robbers should not be killed by policemen or by mobs? Here's yet another reminder of what these beasts are capable of. The murdered policemen had families. What would you tell their wives, children, and dependants? Same also applies to the many victims of armed robberies and other violent crimes (kidnapping, cultism, etc). These animals deserve no mercy, and frankly, if I had my way, anyone caught in these acts would be immediately dissolved in acid.

Anyone that shows compassion to armed robbers and other violent criminals (in a country like Nigeria for that matter) eminently deserves to end up as one of their victims, and hopefully, they would keep on sympathising with robbers even from their graves.

I always spend my wkends in Abk. Oh boy i heard the sporadic gunshots in the dead of the night and i can confirn say NO BE JOKE OH. Those robbers dey vex. They sounded like expendable 2 crew. And considering the fact that i was a few kilometres away frm ijemo agbadu, the shots were damn too loud. I even thought they were in my lantoro neighbourhood.

With what i heard, it must have been an anihilation not a gun duel. Those policemen were helpless.

May their soul RIP.

Lantoro small na. I was in asero, very close to the stadium and i heard the gunshots. I wasn't scared tho cos i knew it was coming from afar, i just did not imagine it would be this far. RIP to the dead officers

Bros. I was on prayer when it began. I must confess i lost concentration immediately and started thinking of evacuation plan for my wife and kid.

THERE WAS NO CHASE as vehicle or human movment would have easily been noticed.

The heavy sound only confirms the fire arms superiority of those robbers. Our police hv to be very well equiped to confront these guyz.

Its easy my brother. Imagine 5 police officers in a peugeot 504. 4 carrying AK47 tightly between their laps while the 5th is driving. All 5 officers probably drank some kai kai hours earlier and possibly feeling a bit tired and sleepy at that time of the night. THey approach the area where the distress call was made. Their headlight is the only one seen for miles. Its dead silent (who dare shout when robbers r around), its pitch dark. The area is a remote village. Police probably think its false alarm. As someone said, it not an area u will expect robbers. One robber is on guard and alert. He sees their headlight and maybe flashin blue lights. Bam, Bam, driver swarves. Panic. No time 2 take guns off safety not 2 mention establishin source of attack by possible one robber wit a "mere pump action". The robber has the advantage. Time, preparedness, position.

Now u see? Those 2 that survived were lucky not better trained or armed/trained. Am sure neither made it wit his firearm on him.

Its hard bein a Nigerian Police Officer

Contrast that wit the US or UK

1)The robbers would most likely possess a handgun not a "superior rifle"
2)Its unlikely they would number 15
3)Neighbours would be on the phone 2 911 or 999 operator givin live information on the number, position and fire power of assailants
4)The area being robbed will be well lit
5) 911 will probably deploy 2-3 patrol teams wit no patrol team havin more dan 3 officer in high powered vehicles
6)Specialist firearms officers (armes response unit) will be deployed not ur average traffic police wit non-kevlar bullet proof vest
7) If necessary, air support unit will be deployed
Area could be sealed off once its established that firearms are involved
9) Officers deployed will av communication gadgets that work and av signal
10) Officer attendin will know that if anything happens 2 em in the line of duty, all shall be well wit him and his family
11) Finally, police officers in developed nation really join the Force because they want 2 fight the bad guy and not because jobs no dey! u know how passionate u approach a job u really love?

May the good Lord grant their families fortitudes to bear the irremediable loss. RIP to the deceased who died during the course of discharging their duties to the Nation. They all died a hero.

Do u know the years these armed robbers ve been implementing there robbery attack with there sophiscated weapons... Though they(robbers) did not receive formal training as police do but through there shooting experience they become veteran in handling dangerous weapons... Truly they(police) handles gun but how frequent do they use it as armed robbers do... Let us salute those police that exuded thier confidence in bid to deliver thier statutory duty to the entire citizenry... May thier soul rest in peace...
