Through its Facebook page with over 135, 000 fans, SaharaReporters admin announced:

We regret to inform our fan, readers, writers, visitors, subscribers and users that due to catastrophic effects of Hurricane Sandy in New York, our servers collocation centers have lost power due to flooding, as a result, our website is currently down. We are doing everything within our upstream providers are doing everything possible to restore the website as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding and anticipated support. SR Team, New York.


VisionitesMagazine has learned that the site administrator and team are working hard and the site would be up again soon. Citizen Journalist Segun O’Law said a tacit conversation with the publisher, Omoyele Sowore in New York ended with an assurance that the site would be up again in soon time. O’Law said Sowore and the SaharaReporters technical team were working out ways to restore the site’s server.
