The second pic is from a supermarket which got flooded and the carts contain food stuff that where found floating. They managemnet of that store decided to get rid of it all. Maybe the insurance claim will boost the register. But the food is totally good in my opinion since they are packaged and this was just a day after the flood. The guys picking thru it are the wise ones. Food prices in New York and the Tri state area average from 30 -50% higher than other cities coupled with high rents and transportation cost and the fact that New York is the first stop for most immigrants from 3rd world countries this gesture seems like pure waste of good food. |

They managemnet of that store decided to get I wouldn't be so sure the food is good. Some of the packages might have bben compromised by debris floating in the flood and the contents of the package, contaminated. It is all quite sad though, to see that they have been reduced to picking through dirt because of the hurricane. Hope their situation is alleviated soon. |

Don't mind these doomsday prophets. Like historic empires in memorial, they too will fade away with their fables and fire-brimstone preaching!! |
