Edwards Bows Out Of The Race, Will Clinton Emerge The Democrat Nominee? by Ndipe(m): 3:20am On Jan 31, 2008
News that John Edwards, who consistently placed third has prompted me to ask this question, "Is Obama finished"? My questions might be valid, because Edwards, a white man, shared an almost equal vote from the white votes with Hillary Clinton during the South Carolina primaries. Obama, despite his 'electrifying' speeches, is still battling to overcome the racial factor in American politics. So, with the exit of Edwards, should Obama sing his swan song, an acknowledgement that it is over, or should he press on like a hero by campaigning?

It's too early to tell though, but it will be a surprise if he pulls this one.

I hope Barack Obama emerge The Democrat Nomine in this race.
Believe me, the Bushes and Clintons are friends, and have been for decades at least since George H.W. Bush was President and Bill Clinton was Governor of Arkansas. At least since then probably longer. However, the connection between the Bushes and Clintons is much deeper than that. Both families are also part of the inside cabal of New World Order globalists. They share the same clubs, the same parties, and the same agenda. Why else do you think that when G.W. Bush became President he did not undo anything Bill Clinton had done? For the same reason that Hillary Clinton will not undo anything that G.W. Bush has done if she becomes President and that includes the Iraq war.Mark it down: Hillary will keep US. troops in Iraq.If she becomes President She will also follow through with whatever other military plans Bush has already put in place.

swan song ke? no way oh. This race is still up for grabs and the debate tonight will tilt the scales in favor of the candidate who's more articulate and aggressive. Edwards was never charming or charismatic - Obama is.

Wait till super tuesday, then we'll know for sure.

As a side note I'm more and more depressed at the options (or lack thereof) we have for the presidency. . . sad John McCain is rep front runner?! kai! that means if Obama loses, Hillary will def take the white house and that will hasten my departure away from america to an european country.

The race will be a lot more interesting if blacks in the States give their wholesome support to Obama. I'm sure it will be a lot of encouragement for a fellow black man and the entire black race.
When is the presidential debate coming up?

4 Edwards Delegates Throw Support to Obama

John Edwards’s withdrawal from the presidential contest has touched off a scramble for his supporters by the two leading Democratic candidates, Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton. This morning, Mr. Obama’s New York office announced that four Edwards delegate candidates in New York City had switched their support to the Illinois senator. In the 14th Congressional District, which includes the East Side of Manhattan and part of Queens, Betsy Feist and Jeremiah Frei-Pearson are supporting Mr. Obama now. So are two delegate candidates — Marc A. Landis, a Democratic district leader, and Bobby Berlin — in the 8th Congressional District, which includes the West Side of Manhattan and a part of southern Brooklyn. The significance of the endorsements is more symbolic than practical. Mr. Edwards’s name will still be on the ballot, but he won’t received any delegates in any Congressional district unless he gets at least 15 percent of the vote. Also, the endorsements do not necessarily reflect mainstream Democratic viewpoints. Carolyn B. Maloney, who represents the 14th Congressional District, and Jerrold L. Nadler, who represents the 8th, have both endorsed Mrs. Clinton, who has the support of New York’s 23-member House delegation. But the announcement could signal that New York liberals attracted to Mr. Edwards’s populist message might be persuaded to move over to Mr. Obama.“John Edwards has ended his campaign but we’re still committed to fighting for change,” Ms. Feist, who is president of the East Side Democratic Club, said in a statement. “Obama’s work as a community organizer in Chicago shows that he shares John Edwards commitment to fighting poverty, and a similar vision for America where fighting poverty will be a priority.”
Mr. Landis, who had helped lead a struggling effort by Edwards supporters to capture at least 15 percent — and at least one delegate — in each Congressional district, said of Mr. Obama, “His unique ability to unite Democrats, Republicans and independents guarantees he won’t just win in November — it means he’ll be a president with a powerful mandate to bring to Washington the kind of change we can believe in.”
