Police Station, Churches, Attacked In Yobe by Fatdon(m): 8:29pm On Nov 09, 2012
Armed men in the early hours of Friday attacked and burnt down a police station, two churches and a primary school in Buni Yadi, the headquarters of Gujba local government area of Yobe state.

Three policemen were killed in the attack on the station and several weapons stolen.

According to residents of the town, the gunmen struck around 2:45am and burnt a church at Goni Shuaibu and another at Hayin Dogo as well as the Central Primary School and the Divisional Police station.

JTF’s spokesman, Lt. Lazarus Eli also confirmed the attack to Daily Trust and said, “…JTF responded swiftly to the distress call and beefed up security in the town in order to forestall further attacks.”
