ifyalways: ^ he's not wrong. Depending on dialect, tongue can be ire or ile. I guess in standard Igbo, it is 'ire'. |

Nice thread. I'm really trying to brush up on my fluency and knowledge of Igbo. It seems the surest way to achieve that is by conversing with regularly with native Igbo speakers, Listening to Igbo songs and watching Igbo movies. Threads like these are also helpful too. Its such shame that we Igbos have the highest number of "non-mother tongue speaking" nigerians. Following thread. |

"Black" and "white" were some of the first Igbo words I learned. It was very helpful when talking about people in the public lmao. "Onye ocha", "onye oji". Welcome back, Odumchi |

I‘m still trying to speak my enugu igbo. Ha! Nwa nwoke Enugu. Kaaaai, I don jam lmao. Nna ke kwanu? When are you meeting my father? Lol. Ogugua, seriously i wonder how you would pronounce these Igbo words. I met an Igbo American who came back for holidays and she saw an inscription on a book written, 'Chukwudi', and pronounced it as 'Chorkwordi' and Nnewi as 'En-New-i' (as in the pronounciation of the english word 'new') |
