Eze Promoe: Ogugua, seriously i wonder how you would pronounce these Igbo words. I met an Igbo American who came back for holidays and she saw an inscription on a book written, 'Chukwudi', and pronounced it as 'Chorkwordi' and Nnewi as 'En-New-i' (as in the pronounciation of the english word 'new') I know native Igbo speakers who still pronounce Chukwudi and Chorkwordi. Its sounds better 1 Like |

Lol. My pronunciations are not too bad when it comes to singular words or names. Ask me to pronounce an unfamiliar phrase, and there's a chance I may butcher lol. My silly cousins used to hail me for pronouncing and spelling Onitsha correctly. Such a shame. If them sabi Mississippi, make I hail them back? |
