We will all continue to go through this sweating until subsidy is removed. Right now we are buying at the rate of unsubsidized PMS that NLC and SNG blindly protested against, if this subsidy was removed then, legitimate marketers would have imported and sell at prices determined by market forces. Now this is what we get. Its a shame! Subsidy should go!! Federal Government is going to be arm-twisted by this scarcity to pay off these thiefing marketers that has held the country to ransome. Infact they should be paid off and subsidy removed. Let's start all over again. 1 Like |

Does this scarcity affect Gej, sambo, senators and other top politicians/pastors? Blessed are those who own private jet for they shall neither queue nor lobby for fuel in filling stations. CASE CLOSED & PADLOCKED!!! |

isn't the riddance of fuel scarcity one of the major reasons given by Mumu GEJ for the renoval of subsidy? What a bitter irony. Still in the fuel scarcity despite the increase in stop price |

LocalChamp: ‘Fuel scarcity to last till next year’ So the National Assembly that made a lot of noise that d govt shld not under any circumstances pay the Oil marketers under investigation, now want the govt to 'quickly verify and pay dem'? Shee d FG were using kid-gloves on d marketers? When real scarcity nova even come, *I laugh*...plz GEJ continue to DEAL with d Oil marketers, that is what Nigerians want |

October1st: DECEMBER 17th to 22nd IS ‘bad NIGERIAN road week’ Good idea... But we really shld not wait till December to do this. People shld use their camera phones to monitor projects (ongoing or abandond) of various govts in ORDER TO KEEP THEM ON THEIR TOES, and do it consistently- instead of Ranting. This is one of d ways of been Engaged..... Again, good idea; but lets start it NOW- not only for roads but railways, airports, dams, river ports etc |

so some nigerians think that if the FGN can be arm-twisted by d cabal, then the cabal can behave well to the masses.by deregulating the downstream petroleum sector, the naija govt want to shift the responsibility to the masses so that when prices start rising exponentially(as any realist will expect) nobody will b held responsible.our political/spiritual elites and wealthy men/women are too unpatrotic 4 a free market energy/utility sector.we want to rush into free market when the US is running away from it.energy is the ability to do work...it drives the economy.some gullible 'ordinary' nigerians have likened deregulation in the petroleum sector to that in telecoms sector.these people fail to understand that these are by far different markets.while petroleum and power(energy)sector are an oligopolistic(uncompetitive)market, the telecoms is a competitive market.it is impossible to tune ur radio/tv any day and not listen/watch adverts by telecoms companies .answer these questions b4 u blindly support subsidy removal:have u ever seen any advert by any filling station at any tv or radio?may be they dont need to publicity to sell their products...u may even beg to patronize them.a word is enough for the wise.dont allow these wicked and greedy people at the helm of affairs(both spiritual and political) to chain our destiny and those of our children yet unborn.our future is connected to our actions/inactions of 2day.with the exception of pastor tunde bakare,fr mbaka and rt rev akiola who spoke against deregulation,i have not heard any other prominent pastor who has.our daddy of CAN even said last yr that nigerian christians will support deregulation...as if nigerian christians have invented machines that run with water.may be and may be they want deregulation so they can join fuel importation and subsequent exploitation of nigerians(including their members)...just as they have joined the jet age. |

a1solution: I told you people to accept the removal of subsidy but NLC and colleagues deceived you pple. I think you should have taken time to think more before uttering this. Who is at fault in throwing the nation into the hands of cabal? Who benefitted from the contributions of the cabal to their pre-election campaigns? If the answers to the above is "THE POOR MASSES OF NIGERIA", then you are reasonable, But if not, you should not made the same victim pay for the sins of the tyrants(Presidency included). |

chyke_o: As citizens, we are supposed to be responsible for our decisions. When we tried a formular for 13 years(1999-2012) and found it horrible, should we continue same way and hope God will turn America to Nigeria or Nigeria to America? God is not a magician, you must take a decision. and that is about giving the rivals of the 13 year rulers a chance to provide an alternative. This does not mean that the ruling party cannot come back in few years, It only means that they would have used their downtime to reflect on why nigerians kicked them out. The so-called oppositions also have the opprtunity to proove if they have a better option, If they don't, the citizen will look elsewhere in the next few years. With this, we will begin to build a democracy that will make leaders responsible to their followers. GEJ summed up how the present leadership mentality is towards the citizen, "THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN". |
