Hands-on With Lumia 920 And 820 At Lagos Launch by LordReed(m): 10:01am On Nov 21, 2012 |
Earlier today at the Silverbird Galleria, Nokia West Africa officially launched their first Windows Phone 8 flagship smartphone, the Lumia 920, and its sibling, the Lumia 820. Members of the MOBILITY team were at the event to have a hands-on experience of the two devices. Both devices run Windows Phone 8, the same Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait, and same 1 GB RAM, so they are pretty much the same in terms of raw muscles. The differences start with their designs, displays, storage capabilities and battery capacities. Here is the black option of the Lumia 920: Here is what the Lumia 820 looks like: In use, both run smoothly and we all found the user interface a joy to use. We hooked up our units to a WiFi network and took the web browser for a spin, and found that it handles both mobile and desktop sites very nicely. There is no flash however. We played with the Lumia 920′s camera too, as well as transferred files from the 820 to other devices from Nokia, BlackBerry, PlirisMobile, and Samsung. Bluetooth pairing worked as we expected it to and the file transfers were done smoothly. Source: http://mobility.com.ng/hands-on-with-lumia-920-and-820-at-lagos-launch/ |

@OP We've read tons of reviews on the 920 but I'm still curious, what were your real expectations? Some reviewers said it was too heavy (obviously an Apple biased reviewer ) did it feel that way? |
