Tinubu's Son, Seyi, Fails In Law School**ex-gov., Oyinlola; Segun Oni's Daughter by Onlinemedia(m): 9:42am On Nov 22, 2012
Son of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) national leader and the Aare Ago of Egbaland, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Oluwaseyi, was among the 1,552 Law School students that were not called to bar yesterday, Tuesday, November 19, 2012 after they failed their examinations.

Seyi, as he is fondly called, had earlier failed his Bar Part 1 examination but had to repeat the exam. He was admitted at the Lagos campus of the Nigerian Law School in Victoria Island.

Meanwhile, the former Osun State governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and the daughter of former Ekiti State governor, Segun Oni, Yemisi, were among the 3,896 that were called to the Nigerian Bar by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Mariam Aloma Muhktar yesterday. The call bar ceremony was held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

About 5,449 students had sat for the August final examination out of which nine passed with First Class, 195 had Second Class Upper, 900 had Second Class Lower and 2,783 had Pass.

The 1,552 that reportedly failed the examination would therefore re-sit the examination.

Foolish post. angry No be person dey fail again? That his father is Tinubu does not make him above failure. This even shows how serious the boy is. He has all it takes to bribe his way through but he chose to use his brain instead. Kudos boy! You go pass your re-sit.

it is leadership by example. how many nigerians in his position will allow their children to fail when they can get the questions and answers before the exams?
Tinubu has my respect as a rich man whose child did not pass exam in nigeria. this is how education should be not a case where any one that has money gets first class.

No worries, he will use a fake TORONTO CERTIFICATE to make up for this one just like his father did.

Examination is not the true test of knowledge. Failing exam does not mean that he's a failure in life. We should not sensationalize the news. We all fail at some point in time in life. No one is immune to it. We should simply respect Seyi's privacy. I wish him better luck next time.

Like we have not all failed at one time or the other?
Mtcheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!

SIMPLE! Who says the road to success is smooth? undecided

Please, Seyi has his own life to live. Let him be. He is not a public figure.

Thank you!

I doubt if there is a human being that have not failed in one area or the other throughout his/her entire life. By the way, i doubt the source of this story.

Who do u bribe in law school? I am yet to see a lawyer who can say he was able to bribe to pass law sch! Perhaps law sch is the only institution in Nigeria that stil maintain the highest standards in examination and teaching! Any leakage in paper is often dictated on time and cancelled and new questions set almost immediately. It has happened before where an unfounded rumour of leakage led to cancellation of exams that were about to be taken, and same after the DG of law sch set another one and forwarded to the Four campuses for printing via e mail while students were already seated for the exams. Marking is also done in such a manner that nobody can favour anyone. First there is only serial numbers in answer scripts, marking is done at hall in abuja, no marker can mark more than two question for each student , another person marks the other 2 questions, there is marking scheme that awards mark for the smallest details. And after the marking, another set of people are invited to review the marking and then pass the final outcome to the Council of law school made up of eminent lawyers and academicians for approval. The process is just too rigorous to be faulted, that is why 70 to 80 percent of those who scale through make a Pass. But Pass in law sch does not mean failure, it could mean that a person scored A's in all four courses and made just an E in just one. If u make A in four courses and fail just one, you will have conditional pass and upon resit, even if u happen to make an A in that course, u are awarded a Pass.

It simply means that Tinubu would compromise anything, but Education. He could have bribed through to secure his son an admission!
