Oh I see

That's comforting to know...

But does being a mod make you less social?

Cause once upon a time you were so influential -you were everywhere.... sharing your vast knowledge where it was required..
But since you became a mod...I rarely see your diary updates...your posts were mainly on that GUS thread.... why is it so?

Lol it's just coincidental. I've been a lot more occupied than I used to be (in the real world), and have less energy to engage in arguments and debates.
There's also been very little that piques my interest on this forum too (I'm sure others have felt the same way). But I'm still available to give assistance where needed smiley Though I doubt I won't be echoing much of what's already been said.
Let's just say I'm bored which is why TV shows have become more appealing.

.....oh and I've never really been a social animal.

It would make a lot more sense if I knew what came before and after it.
So far though I think the first part before the ellipses would be just as saying gossip/beef sells(?) and the other, the duality of everything.

LESSON SIXTEEN...

You see, there will always be only one King. God. Christ is practically the Throne of God, God's Seat of Authority.

This part gets technical real easy and keeping it simple and non-verbose is a task. I just hope that the message is clear enough to at least provoke articulate conversation in our minds.

All the thrones you see in the Bible are one throne. There is one throne where God sits and rules from. One throne in the midst of which are the Lamb, the 24 elders and the four "living creatures".

This is significant in the study of the concept of the Christ. In Revelation, there is a moment when a scroll is supposed to be opened and no one was found in all the realms who was worthy to open it. Until the Lamb showed up. And He was said to have won the right to open it by something He did. The Lamb is later shown as exercising supreme authority from the Throne.

Later, we find the "living creatures" and the 24 elders joining Him too. This is what the Christ is: God's Throne.

As has already been said, in the Christ God meets His Creation. He enters its experience and takes it into His as well. That is the function of the Throne. That is the function of God's Christ.

And I have just hinted at the Destiny of the Believer in all that.

Look at everything that the 24 elders and the four "living creatures" said in Revelation and take a thought on it. We'll pick up from there next.

I've read this like five times I don't want to believe what am thinking is what you're implying here....

Some Quick Questions:

Are you saying that God and not Jesus is the Lamb?

You said there's only one throne but the Bible said Jesus ascended to sit at the right hand of his father... how does that correlate here?

What do you mean by Christ God?

You've intentionally left Jesus out of the picture you painted above Which rendered it incomplete.

My understanding of that paragraph is ....

-God delegated some authority to Jesus .
-He was the Lamb who was worthy to open the scroll because of the sacrifice he made.

The throne part is confusing cause there can never be two thrones in a kingdom and there can never be two kings in the Same kingdom but then how would Jesus 'reign with him'

Can you shed more light on these?

herald9:

What do you think I'm implying]

herald9: Some Quick Questions:
Ok

herald9: Are you saying that God and not Jesus is the Lamb?
If you started with us or you went back to read the first module where we established what it is that Christians believe that nobody else does you would see that God and Jesus mean the same thing to the Christian.

herald9: You said there's only one throne but the Bible said Jesus ascended to sit at the right hand of his father... how does that correlate here?
While there is a case to be made for figurative speech here, I'll address the question literally.

Considering that His Father is God, how large a throne would God need and where would His right Hand be?

herald9: What do you mean by Christ God?
Do you mean where I said, "in the Christ God meets His Creation"? If you do, read the clause again. I have no unit of thought in it that is "Christ God".

herald9: You've intentionally left Jesus out of the picture you painted above Which rendered it incomplete.
How so?

herald9: My understanding of that paragraph is ....

-God delegated some authority to Jesus .
"Some"? Where did you get that information.

Jesus Himself said that ALL authority in heaven and on earth were given to Him. Later He told John in the book of Revelation that He had the keys of Death and Hell too.

herald9: -He was the Lamb who was worthy to open the scroll because of the sacrifice he made.
This is true.

herald9: The throne part is confusing cause there can never be two thrones in a kingdom and there can never be two kings in the Same kingdom but then how would Jesus 'reign with him'
Good question. You know how you say "the government this or that"? Who do you mean when you say "the government"?

herald9: Can you shed more light on these?
I hope that I have. smiley
