FOR most residents of Calabar, the Cross River State capital, these are hard times following the petrol scarcity that has hit the city.
Few stations that have the product sell it for as high as N220 to N250 per litre, yet consumers scramble for it.
Brawls among buyers are common incidences at the filling stations that have the products available, as black market operators sell for as high as N300 per litre.
Chairman, Cross River State Petrol Tankers’ Association, Mr. Abdullahi Akomaye, said the situation was created by the strike embarked on by his association.
He, however, said following the calling off of the strike yesterday, the city will be flooded with the product in the shortest possible time.

Petrol has been selling for N120 per litre in Enugu for the better part of this year. Only NNPC filling station sell at N97 but the draw back there is the long queue. Why dont we allow full deregulation? When will this PENNY WISE POUNDS FOOLISH mentality of Nigerians stop? Anyway, how much is petrol sold in your area?

In Benin, it is #97 per litre; while in Asaba, major marketers sell at #97 per litre (though all of dem smtimes dont hv d products at d same time) while most of d oda smaller stations who hv it at all times sell at bw #105-#120
