This morning, residents of Ikota Villa Estate, Lagos were forcefully locked inside
the estate.

Both gates into the estate were locked and armed policemen, security guards,
plus some young men dressed in black suits restrained movement into and outside
the estate.

A group of people who call themselves "Ikota Estate Residents Association" make
the rules in this Estate. They do not bother to take needs of others into consideration.
neither do they disseminate information appropriately.

After irate residents staged a protest at the gate near the Mega Chicken Estate Section
of the Estate, the men in black suits lamely produced the flyer attached asking residents
to pay a total of N660,000 or they will be barred from entering or leaving the estate!!!

Kindly get this information circulated so that the evil people behind this extortion scheme
can be unmasked.

The residents are not sure that they or any member of their families will be allowed into
their homes this evening.

Ikota estate,I presume,must be a middle class area.So if a group of middle class families cannot mount a challenge to these levies,it implies dat they were made aware of these charges b4 moving into d estate,or else dey shamelessly allow a few people using just intimidation force dem into paying,& if dat b d case,expect other sets of illegal charges to follow
