Sierra Leone has launched a hunt for a woman with Ebola who was forcibly removed from hospital by her relatives in the capital, Freetown.

Radio stations around the country are appealing for help to find the 32-year-old who is described as a risk to all.

She is the first Freetown resident to have tested positive for the virus.

The virus has killed nearly seven hundred people since February in three West African states and has remained the world deadliest outbreak.

Meanwhile, Nigerian health officials say a Liberian man admitted to a hospital in Lagos, who was quarantined, has died of suspected Ebola virus.

Reports say, patients infected with the virus have little chances of surviving

Q1-2014: Steep decline in distribution
expenses
boosts bottom-line. Revenue fell by 2.7%,
while net income spiked by 85%YoY.
Cement Company of Northern Nigeria
(“CCNN” or the
‘’Company) on Wednesday 29th April
2014 released its
unaudited Q1 2014 result. Revenue was
down by 2.7% to
N4.88billion ($29.78M) from
N5.02billion ($30.61M) While
Profit after Tax widened by 85% to
N699.02million
($4.26M) from N376.61million ($2.30M)
YoY.
Given the above, it is our opinion that if
CCNN continues to consolidate on its near
monopolistic advantage in the North
Western
space, without playing for size with its
bigger competitors, then the company’s
revenue is sustainable. Furthermore the
current owner
of the company has also commenced the
construction of a new cement plant in the
South -South zone; though it is yet to be
determined if the earnings from the new
cement plant will be consolidated with the
earnings from CCNN, we like the strategy
of
building new smaller plants in different
locations to meet the local market needs
than install a huge production capacity in
one plant
which will increase distribution cost if the
company wants to break new market
grounds beyond its immediate location
It is our opinion that building excessive
capacity in one plant may become an
inefficient strategy in the long run
because of the
abundance of limestone deposits in
different parts of the country which can
give rise to smaller more efficient plants
springing up in
different locations and producing enough
to become major threats to the bigger
plants, who may be burdened by high
operating
expenses. We also think that the strategy
of building smaller plants in different
locations may eventually lead to the
actualization of
the much anticipated reduction in cement
prices in the country because of the
heightened competition that it will create,
considering
that the impact of distribution cost will
reduce significantly

Is omaojo 1 equals to iharry? Abeg check d Ip add. Still thinking of d rumoured acquisatn of eterna oil.

Now I know this IP address thing is misleading. I am not Iharry of SMN. In fact, I do not and will not create a handle on that board. I checked him out on SMN via Google and discovered that he registered in 2007. I was still an undergraduate then and only got to know about SMN last year.

A cursory look at his posts will reveal that he has interest in Unity and MTI, I will never go near those stocks till death do us part. Unity is poised to becoming the first Nigerian company to cross the 100bn issued share capital mark in style. Unity is a product of "we will not allow our bank to die" by some vested interest in the North and they got Sanusi and Chike-obi to do their bidding.

Forget the recent earnings that was even under reported (they did not include some huge recoveries made), there are still over 200 million units on offer.

On MTI, the company is also another dead entity that should not be on the bourse but for the lax listing conditions that prevailed when it was listed. I had a chat with one of the industry top notch recently and he told me to forget all my analysis that experience is what matters in this market. I agree with him to some extent as some news will totally lead you astray. That is the case with Iharry's post on the news of the acquisition interest in MTI by Tingo Mobile.

I was before the chairman of that company when someone broke that news to him, and guess what he screamed, 'sell, sell, if anyone wants to buy, supply them". I later learnt that he has close to 200 million units in one of his stock account and a better part of it has been on offer with an order duration of good till year end.

Acquisition or no acquisition, do not fret about your exposure in Eterna. The subsidy headwind really dealt a blow to their financials last period and that is not going to happen this time around. Rather, we are auspicious about the oil lifting tailwind. The stock is fundamentally ok and I believe you entered when it was technically ok too.

I hope you are convinced that I am not Iharry?

Take some close up ma'am grin grin grin grin grin

I have spelt Mercy and it is not a recommendation to buy Mercy or Unilever.

Please, what is the business of Mercy and when are they coming with their rights issue.

Equating omaojo1 to iharry is actually a terrible injustice to omaojo1. Really.

I still feel nothing put pity for that SMNite. He tried to mess me up as a new member and his own Ogas started spanking him, I didn't even have to lift a finger. Those who know my antecedents know that I'd have handled him effectively. New member or old member.
