Diamond Bank, just like Fidelity Bank, has a good prospect of becoming a good stock in the future. It might take time, but the management style and their products show they can pull through to become a sweet sweet stock. My view though.

Out of ALL the banks on the NSE, why will I look at Diamond? Is it the wonderful management, great performance or just for my gambling experience

Guys please confirm the following for Fidelity Bank

Shares Outstanding
Market Cap
2017 PAT
PE Ratio

I seem to get a PE Ratio that is different from everybody else.

What I have is this.

Shares Outstanding : 28,974,797,023
Market Cap: 71,567,748,646.81
2017 PAT: 18,857
Total Comprehensive Income: 21,967
PE Ratio (based on PAT): 3.795
PE Ratio (based on TCI): 3.25

Kindly confirm if this is accurate. Some sources say that Fidelity has a PE Ratio of 2 which I don't understand.

It baffles me how regulators in Nigeria allow malpractices to be perpetrated without taking any action.

In a saner clime, this Japaul Oil/Milost botched deal would have left many heads rolling, but such will never happen here.

Oando is still there with nothing heard anymore. At the end, investors suffer. Maybe they need another BBC documentary before they take action. It is well.

This place is enough for you to get your information.

But will greed allow us stay away from a stock with unusual price movement?

If we can't control GREED and FEAR, we don't have business in this market. Once a negative/bad result is released or bad news is in the public, Omo mehn.... jaaaaaaaaaaa

Sometimes those volumes are from right pocket to left pocket.

I agree with you, but that does not mean regulators should not punish infractions at least to protect the 'greedy and fearful' ones. Well, failure is part of a learning process.

BUT there was no infraction yet in the Milost/JaPaul deal. They were just flying a kite. No one took them serious. SEC/NSE cannot do anything. They have not contravened any law.
