That's an added detail at least we know where he was coming from and heading to before the accident. Some people even went as far as saying he's presently at National Hospital's ICU in Abuja and that the accident happened along Abuja-Lokoja road!

Doctors at the Lokoja Specialist Hospital where Mr. Wada received first aid treatment said his leg is “totally broken.”
The doctors said the governor was brought into the intensive care unit with a severely fractured femur, a senior government official said. He added that the doctors said the governor is in good condition and did not sustain major head or spinal cord injuries. “There is hope,” he said. The state government arranged for a helicopter which flew the governor to the National Hospital in Abuja, a source at the government house told PREMIUM TIMES.
The governor is in “serious pains,” the aide, who saw the governor at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital, said.
The governor’s convoy was involved in an auto crash on Lokoja-Ajaokuta road, around Salem University on Friday afternoon.

UPDATE: Governor Wada’s leg totally broken, flown to Abuja for treatment


DailyPost has gathered that Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada, may have lost one of his legs in the ghastly car crash, he was involved in on Friday.

Wada received first aid at the Lokoja Specialist Hospital, and the doctors said his leg is “totally broken”. They revealed that Wada was rushed into the intensive care unit, with a severely fractured femur.

However, the doctors confirmed that he is in good condition and did not sustain injuries to his head or spinal cord.

The accident, which happened on the Lokoja-Ajaokuta road, claimed the lives of one of his aides and left two others injured.

Governor Wada, has been flown to the National Hospital in Abuja, with a helicopter arranged by the State Government and a source said he was in “serious pains”.

Meanwhile, reports say the cause of the accident may be ‘banking’, as there are no potholes on the stretch of road, where the accident happened.
