eni mcnite: The BEST and the 1st picture I tot I ought to have seen in this thread should've been the. Picture of a Vulture waitin for a crawling African baby to die, a starvin baby that was crawlin to a nearby Unicef camp about 10km away but d baby obviously didn't make it cry And the Stupid Photographer dat took the pic killed himself after 3months of miserable tots of d incident where he could've saved the baby's life! angry

My goodness, I know that picture. I think it was a Somali or Ethiopian child. It won a pulizter too. I cried buckets when I first saw that pic. It really speaks a thousand words. The last Jew of valista is defiantly worth some research. So is d pic of the child who died in concrete. This is by far the most meaningful thread of 2012.

Guards at "The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" Arlignton Cemetary (one of many around the world)

Legend has it that "The Old Guard" has guarded the tomb every minute of every day since April 6, 1948 be it in rain, sunshine or whatever. They live by the Sentinel’s Creed which in part says “Through the years of diligence and praise and the discomfort of the elements, I will walk my tour in humble reverence to the best of my ability.”

Awe-inspiring stuff!

The father of modern Physics Albert Einstein was an extraordinary genius in his scientific approach and innovative powers.
but his marks sheet showing his school grades reflects something opposite to it. Are these school grades belonging to a boy who later on became a world renowned scientist and succeeded to win Nobel Prize in Physics (1921)? just one A

Adolf Hitler (20 April 1889 – 30 April 1945) was a German politician and the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party commonly known as the Nazi Party. He worked as chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945, and then became the dictator of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945.

Rocktation: V-J Day [New York, 1945]

This is one of the most famous photographs from the Second World War. The soldier and the nurse are unknown but people have come forward to claim the fame. Apparently the nurse slapped the soldier immediately after. The event was the celebration of the end of the war and it was taken in Times Square by Alfred Eisenstaedt.

That is me and Rocktation. Nna, war no easy oo.

Tell me about it. Hmmph.

Lina Medina [1939] : The world's youngest mother ever

This 5-year-old peruvian, gave birth to a baby in May 14th, 1939 at a hospital in Pisco, Peru.
Her son weighed 2.7 kg (6 lb) at birth and was named Gerardo after her doctor. Gerardo was raised believing that Lina was his sister, but found out at the age of ten that she was his mother. He grew up healthy but died in 1979 at the age of 40 of a disease of the bone marrow.

God forbid. Who got a 5yr old girl pregnant
