it doesnt take 29b to construct roads in a state no bigger than 5,435 sq km, even if you criss-cross the entire. state with asphalt surfaced roads. |

ODUA_NEGRO: it doesnt take 29b to construct roads in a state no bigger than 5,435 sq km, even if you criss-cross the entire. state with asphalt surfaced roads. Mind you Lagos is the smallest state by landmass. Consider the population. I don't think Imo is that small. |

Abagworo: I agree, Lagos is the smallest.....but Fashola dare not allocate 29b for road construction. Imo is just 5,435. It should not take this much money to build roads in the state where population is three times less that of Lagos and four wheeled vehicles are even far less in number. |

All those Imo roads that are just graded and laid with a thin wearing course. No sub base, no base course. Is that how roads are built? |

geeez: All those Imo roads that are just graded and laid with a thin wearing course. No sub base, no base course. Is that how roads are built? You said the truth. Even the so-called Akwaibom roads are like that. Its the reason I keep hammering that Rivers State is the only State that is constructing quality roads cast with concrete before asphalting with zero use of laterite. |

road construction is a cash cow for politicians and contractors. they set out to build a road that will be recurrently repaired every two to five years. at the end of a 20yr period the contractor has rental properties all over town but road is still tore up. |
