Testimony To Glorify Jesus Finished Work by Nobody: 8:22am On Jan 03, 2013
I wish to share a testimony that i read on Josephprince.org. One thing that i find really intriguing is the necessity of learning to be at rest, refusing to worry and be anxious for nothing. And this is what i am learning to practice for me to overcome my seeming problems. i hope this will encourage you no matter what you facing today, to rest in the finished work of Christ Jesus for this year and beyond shalom.

Meditation Of God’s Word Led To Successful Job Application
I was working as an executive assistant to the general manager with a renowned semi-government company. Everything was working fine for me in the organization until I was pregnant with my second child.

The organization frowns upon pregnant women and new mothers and when the news of my pregnancy broke, everyone in the organization was very unhappy and I was made to feel as if I’d committed a crime. Even my female colleagues slighted me and I felt condemned for my decision to have a second child.

Subsequently, I was demoted to become an administration assistant cum office secretary. Even though I’d wished to quit, I had loans to service and so I continued to drag myself to work.

While all that was happening, I was attending church regularly and my husband was always pointing me to Christ. However, I felt lost in that situation. Finally, things came to a head when I received a letter of termination on 11 September 2012. I was in a state of shock as I have always been nominated as the best employee. Moreover, I really needed the job as my husband’s salary was insufficient to service our loans.

Right after I was terminated, the banks called me to settle the loans since the accounts were linked to my salary. I did not know what to do but somewhere in my mind, I sense that God was working things out for us because of the scripture verse, “…all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

My husband and our prayer warriors also continued to comfort and point me to the Word. In fact, my husband fed me the Word every morning via short message service. I would also listen to Pastor Prince and meditate on the verses from his sermons.

On 13 October 2012, I delivered a healthy baby girl. That was a miracle as the delivery was difficult because the baby had the umbilical cord wound twice round her neck.

After my delivery, I began applying for jobs but to no avail. One day, as I was listening to Pastor Prince’s sermon, I heard the testimony of a lady who was retrenched and then blessed with a job she’d desired. Pastor Prince also pointed out that as Jesus is, so are we in this world. So I kept asking myself, “How can Jesus be unemployed?” I was sure that Jesus would get me my desired job.

I also claimed Psalm 16:5–6 while reading and meditating on this verse—“Lord, You have assigned me my portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.” I believed that because the Lord is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. And that same afternoon, I received calls from two big organizations, after my husband had applied to one of the organizations for me even though it had no available positions. Hallelujah!

With our financial needs becoming more pressing by the day, even my husband began to show anxiety. However, I continued to meditate on God’s Word, including Proverbs 3:5–6—“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Amazing as it sounds, I received a second call, and again from both organizations. I knew that this was from my Lord. I attended the interviews and waited for the outcome. While waiting, I spoke to Jesus and told Him about the organization that I would love to join. From being anxious, I became at rest and I was called for a final round of interviews by both organizations.

The final interview at the place I desired was quite interesting. The general manager had asked me to write a report on the company within the day. The task seemed so daunting but I decided to cast my cares to the Lord. I wrote the report, submitted it and waited. It was an excruciating wait but on the fourth day, I finally received a call to notify me that I’d been appointed executive assistant to the general manager. Praise the Lord!

This company has stringent entry requirements but I got in solely because of Him who owns the heavens and the earth. Moreover, my boss is a wonderful person and the company is blessed. Praise God for His mercy endures forever and His promises are always yes and amen for us. Thank you, Pastor Prince, and may God bless you.

Speedy Recovery For Brother Faced With Life-Threatening Health Conditions
I want to take a few minutes to tell you what a blessing you are in my life and share what God has accomplished in the lives of my family members.

A few months ago, my brother, Shawn, contracted Guillain-Barre syndrome (a serious autoimmune disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the nervous system) in Laos. He was refused treatment by several hospitals in Laos and Thailand as it was said that he was too far advanced in the disease and there was nothing they could do for him. He was finally able to receive treatment in a government hospital in Udon Thani, Thailand, but while there, he developed further complications and contracted three strains of pneumonia and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

I flew all the way from the United States to Udon Thani in Thailand and when I saw Shawn, he looked like a man hours from death, almost completely paralyzed and hooked only to a ventilator. He could only move his lips and head a bit.

I quickly pronounced God’s protection and provision, and called upon the grace and mercy of God to deliver us. And within 28 hours of my arrival, Shawn was transported via aircraft to a private hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. He was admitted directly to the intensive care unit (ICU) and after the first day, he was able to move his arms.

His condition improved so quickly that all the doctors and hospital staff were in shock and awe at the rate of his progress. I told them that the miracle was from God and even my sister-in-law, who was a non-believer, saw what God was doing and wanted to know this Jesus. In fact, she gave her heart to the Lord in the hospital! She had learned so much about the love of God during that time that even her family members began asking, “Who is this Jesus?”

On the six day after admission, Shawn was moved from the ICU to a private room and his condition continued to improve. It wasn’t easy as he had severe pain and sleepless nights, but God was there every step of the way. Throughout the day, I would lay hands on him and pray over his body. Folks back home in the United States were also praying continually.

This was war—a battle like I’d never imagined. I rarely left the hospital room and I prayed continually. Every morning, Shawn and I would talk about the Lord and what He was teaching us. I also read Shawn bits of Joseph Prince’s book, Unmerited Favor Lord through the Word and through Joseph’s book.

Joseph’s book was a source of strength. Prior to Shawn’s illness, I had been devouring Joseph’s daily broadcasts and literature. I learned so much during that season and that prepared me for this time of battle. Through the healing process of my brother, I learned to lean on God and to know that God is good and He always delivers. Healing is always available to us—sometimes instant, sometimes in the process, but always available through the broken body and blood of Jesus.

Even though the typical recuperation time for this syndrome is between six months and three years, Shawn was already walking one month later. Four months after, he was able to drive and to lift nearly 300 pounds of weight. He still has some pain on his back and neck and his feet are still numb, but I am believing God for his complete healing soon.

Thank you for staying true to the message of grace. It’s all about Jesus and His COMPLETED work on the cross. Hallelujah! Please know that you are making a difference in the lives of so many and we are just a few among the millions who have been touched by your message of grace and truth. To God be all the glory!
