I have been eagerly waiting to discard my china phone and myother two sims in the wake of the news about sim portability stipulated to kick start last year December. However, this is another year and no signs or jingles about it. Wetin dey happen na or abi na fictitious statement dem make just for noise sake?

From the look of tinz,the mobile number portability is never goin to start this month neither is it likely to start next month,this is going to be anoda promise Gej is not going to fulfill

sim portability does not translate to end of sim usage. sim will continue to be used. many telecom carriers are adapting their network for universal usage....that is, multi-technology based. right now your mtn or glo phone will only work in nigeria and some countries that have gsm technology. with portability your phone will be able to work in many more countries, gsm, cdma and many others. it will be a truly "global phone". when launched...whenever that is......you will still need sim but you will be needing a different phone.
