Am saddened by the fact that Nigeria has retrogressed in recent years, once heard our Naira was more valuable than the Dollar during d military regimes, corruption wasn't as bad as it is now when Buhari showed commitment to deal with it by promulgating laws that would ensure corrupt politicos rot in jail;such was it then, when Pa Adekunle Ajasin of d old Ondo state was a subject of a 64-jailterm for corrupt practices.Nevertheless,Nigerians clamoured for a democratic governance, that brought an abrupt end to the junta approach the Militias were employing. So far so good which would u rate"paid off better"within the jungular Nigeria context

There's a saying that the worst democracy is better that the best military regime.
In the military regime, the freedom of information bill/ war cannot see the light of the day, talk less of freedom of expression.
Human rights violation nko?

Ya, good ole military rule, locking people up based off suspicion alone. Nigeria's biggest problem is our communism system where all the money is collected by the federal government in its unitary pot and then shared to all the states so everybody prospers from everybody's success and suffers everybody's failures, that doesn't encourage development, it doesn't encourage innovation and since the federal government only cares about oil the other states are abandoned and left to be poor then everybody is poor because oil cannot carry the economy that is now on its shoulders and even those better states cannot continue to develop becomes they are being held back by the states they are subsidizing. We adopted states half heartedly then we didn't give the governors any real over their states governors are really only figureheads.

Buhari may have been anti corruption but who says the next dictator will be?

That's propaganda, a military rule can be fair, progressive and productive if the dictator so wishes.

Nigeria's problem is not democracy, it is that the democracy was improvised, I would never rather a government with no accountability, when its you who is locked up on suspicion alone you would not appreciate it and when dictators go bad, well, they can really go bad. Nigeria needs a real survey of our government, what works elsewhere, why it works, why it doesn't work and how it could work for us rather than making decisions on the fly without any consideration for consequences or all the bells and whistles that go with it, our current constitution review is mostly a work of politicians who could care less about the important bits, they are all biased and leaning towards one interest or another, expect a few more problems to come from it but ultimately no, never wish for military rule.

And you already have that now,how has our criticism affected the present day's politics where Ministers found culpable of one malpratcice or the other are being left unsacked even in the face of financial wrecklessness
