There are reports that the convoy of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, was this afternoon, attacked by some unknown gunmen at Masallacin Mur’tala area of Kano metropolis.

Aproko247 however gathered that the Emir is safe. The motive of the attack was not yet known to us as we are presently gathering information as why the Emir was attacked in Kano, his region.

The Emir of Kano is one of the revered rulers in the Northern part of Nigeria.

Militants driving a smashed SUV and
motorbikes threw an Improvised
Explosive Device (IED) at the convoy
of the The Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero,
and then shot at his official vehicle,
killing his driver and three of his
guards, according to a military source.
The attack took place near the Hockey
Field on Zoo Road by Total Gasoline
station while the Emir was returning
from an Islamic wedding.
The Emir was unhurt in the attack and
has since been moved to an
undisclosed location.
