@Naptu - I have always seen you as a nationalist ( they are few) and a reservoir of knowledge. I appreciate your level-headedness. In my nearly 4 years on NL i have come to the conclusion that the Nigeria must be divided into south and north as different countries. The hatred is too much for coexistence. The believe that we northerners want to remain with the south at all costs is a myth. Many older Northerners and older southerners want Nigeria to remain one not necessarily because of oil but they have that unity hammered into their psyche and any other thing is seen as a failure. For the younger generation of Northerners , the majority want to have a separation and a new beginning for them.

Yorubas don't hate Muslims or Christians because they have over 200 other gods. Why would they kill themselves over 2 additional ones? Yoruba Muslims are among the very few Muslims that are not associated with religion-motivated killings
