Protocols In Nigeria: 2013 US Presidential Inauguration Experience. by Nobody: 8:40am On Jan 22, 2013
Protocols in the USA: Mr President, Mr Vice President, ladies and gentlemen..........all in 5 seconds...

Protocol in Nigeria: Your Excellency, Dr.....Phd, GCFR, President and commander in chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
Your Excellency, Arc(Dr).....GCON, the Maigari mallami migrain of ....., the magajin grain Arewan duniya......Vice President of the of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Your Excellencies.........His Royal Majesty.....His Eminence.... 40 minutes gone and still counting and no substance in the main speech, always a long prepared text they read out, which most times they can’t read correctly even though their eyes are glued to till d end of the speech.

But seriously we need to stop this vain glory nonsense and making too much noise with d microphone. Imagine I went this wedding last month, the reception started by 2pm or there about. Do u know that it took the MC 2hrs to introduce men of d high table, just wasted time praise-singing names of each of the people called the high table with plenty of useless title they bear, recognizing the presence of this and that? At the end of d day, there was no time left for the ceremony proper. This happens in virtually every occasion in Nigeria. Nigerians should stop this nonsense of seeking vain glory at every small gathering especially in the government circles.
