Abrantie: My honest opinion -- Zambia didn't deserve that penalty. As much as I get a good feeling whenever Nigeria loses or comes up short, this particular one doesn't feel so good. I don't know why.

TAH!!! APRIL FOOL!!! grin grin grin

super eagles are qualified for the quarter final, only a logical person can see these.i can prove this;....super eagles=S, zambia=Z, ETHIOPIA=E, BUKINA FASO=B
Z=E
S=Z(L)
S=B(L)
B>E
THEREFORE B>Z.
S>E OR S=E(L).....THERE ARE TWO OUTCOMES
(L) MEANS LAST MINUTES LUCK AGAIST SUPER EAGLES(S)

MY ADVICE IS THAT IF WE CAN TIGHTEN OUR DEFENCE EXPECIALLY AT THE LAST MINUTES
WE WILL GET TO QUARTER FINAL

Emmysteve: excuse me, who are you? Do you watch football at all? Do you knw what politics is in football? You av been robbed twice and you are still opening ur mouth to ask stupid question.

Typical whiner, if you had scored 6 against your 2 opponents, would referees be relevant? It is mediocre analysis like yours that helps to perpetuate failure.

I wonder what is about Zambia that their opponents can’t score a penalty against them. Last Cup of Nations it was Gyan and Drogba missing penalties against Zambia. This time around Ethiopia also missed one, and now Mikel couldn’t score.

I stopped watching our Super Eagles a long time ago. I just give Arsenal 2 more seasons. If Wenger continues as manager and things continue like it is now, I will stop watching them and dedicate my time to watching rugby.

Why should we have to score six goals to get fair treatment?

I don't see South Africa, Ivory Coast, and Ghana having to meet such targets.

Nope. It is still every 2 years. It's just that CAF decided to hold the tourney in d odd years, to avoid clashing with d world cup. So d next Nations' Cup will be in 2015.

Learn from Burkina Faso, officiating is like the wind: it either blows for you or against you, there is little use complaining about it.

The SE was really poor in the first half.

Poor aerial balls lounged forward only for the ball to come back from the equally poor Zambians.

Poor team play as the Zambians appear to be defending from the front. Anytime the ball is with the SE in our half, there is at least 5 Zambians players in our half of the pitch, most times with only 4 SE players against these 5. Instead of our midfielders to fall back and find gaps they can stay in to collect a pass from the 4, they all stay forward forcing the 4 to try long balls. Long balls which people like Oboabona are particularly poor at. Hence we kept on losing the ball by playing it wayward or for the Zambians to clear.

Second half was a bit more coordinated and Emenike looked inspired with more bullish play. Just like I said after the Burkina Faso game, we could have won the game but something is really wrong with the black man.

The Musa guy was so selfish and is desperate for glory. To be frank, I am yet to see what this guy brings to the game that is better than Odems, who is not selected, or Uche, who is sitting on the bench.

The substitution was so poor. I honestly really don't know what it takes before Keshi knows he should have substituted Musa. WTF! That was one of the 2 poorest players on the pitch and who was spoiling the teamwork and you take him out in the 89th minute? WTF!

The only player who was worse than Musa on the pitch was Onanzi. He was so awful at right back. He kept on being sucked in forward-wise or centre-wise, leaving a man completely free on the wings. This guy on one occassion headed to the centre to join a centre back in blocking a shot from a Zambian player 20 yards out, leaving 2 men on his side 10 yards out COMPLETELY free. If the Zambian player had some sense and just passed to any of the 2, it would have been easier for those 2 players (10 yards out) to score as they would be 1-on-1 with the keeper, than a player 20 yards out that already has a centre back in front of him and the keeper. Onanzi was awful but he has an excuse he is more a defensive midfielder and was filling in. The penalty was not his fault at all, the referee is mad!

Nosa Igiebor was not even in the team in my opinion. Did not do one thing I remember.

There was really no movement in the attack. I hate it so much. Players just standing on one spot waiting for a pass and then they get tackled or just pass it back. DISORGANISE THE FCKING DEFENCE BY JOGGING FROM PLACE TO PLACE.

And, as expected, we were appalling at all set pieces. All corners and freekicks were hopeless exercises. ALL!

The penalty. Why not Enyeama? Is he not the penalty specialist in the team?

Echeijile was the only solid thing I saw in the team. Involved going forward but yet solid in defence.

Ogude and Emenike also played well.

I really don't want to see that Musa start again!

This is where you know a good coach. Musa had no business been in that game for that long. Apart from the fact that he was not playing well, he was already shown a yellow card and any right thinking coach will not waste time to remove him.

musa got a card for an unknown offence, same with emenike's card. Musa didn't do anything tangible.

Hey guys and analysts, what will happen in the last group match if the following events occurs
Nigeria beats Ethiopia 1-0
Zambia beats Burkinafaso 1-0
Already, If that happens, Burkinafaso has qualified.
Meaning Nigeria and zambia will be on the same points, goals for, goal against..
What will decide the rest
Thanks !
