One of the most respected and thorough broadcast journalists, CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, will be interviewing President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday evening.

She confirmed this via her Twitter handle, @camanpour: “My interview with President Goodluck Jonathan of #Nigeria will air at 2100 & 2300 local Nigerian time on Wednesday night. @cnni”

Amanpour is renowned for her blunt and brutal style of interviewing and is widely expected to quiz Jonathan on pressing issues in his country, Africa and the world.

“After Mali and Algeria, can #Nigeria get a grip on its own Islamic militant group? I’ll ask NIGERIAN PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN Wednesday!” she asked

Nigerians across social media, are already expectant and eagerly looking forward to what most of them have termed a “showdown”
