If you have been observing the trend of things , you ought to have noticed the strategic entry of foreign multi-nationals and governments into the African soil with an aim of bringing development to the continent all around, but with an ulterior motive that spans a new re-colonization of the continent. From enormous grants to buying up lands, sighting cooperate offices and the establishment of military bases, should we Africans not be threatened by these 'father Christmas' gestures and try to take over our lands and resources for the sake of our children? Since the human nature is wired around the 'give-and-take' principle, having drained severely of valuable brain and people potential, is this not the last assault of the developed world on Africa and what can we do about it ? There are numerous examples on this. The other day, I was reading the National Geographic Magazine where I learnt that some European countries have plans to tap solar energy from the Sahara desert and export to their countries. Do we all fold our hands and leave our destinies in the hands of our insensitive government, or do we get up and fight for what is rightfully ours through strategic actions? If so, what can we do?

Knowledge is power. Africans are ignorant and as long as they remain ignorant what are theirs will always go to the dogs.

They see us sitting on gold mines not knowing what to do with it....so since it seems as if we don't need it and they do, why not help themselves? They see oportunities and value in Africa that we're blind to, that's why we keep running after them for hand-outs.

no i dont agree with you , they are not ignorant, blackman refuse and thier leaders have refused to make use of the knowledge of its educated citizens , hence the brain drain.
they also have not utilized our natural resources. our leaders are so docile that they believe poverty is normal, they are worst than puppets.
if the western/European leaders whispers bullshit in thier ear, they will take it hook, hine and hinker .if they have their way they can sell the country.their inferiority complex is mind boggling and very contagious.
so long as we africans continue to pay lip service to research and development, science and tech and we continue to chase jeep, brazillian hair, IPAD, BB, private jet, greed, greed, corruption, embezzlement.
the West hands will forever continue to rest and abide on the heads of Africans cheesy cheesy grin grin grin grin and endlessly be treated as fools. AFRICANS GROW UP

Superb !!!! Nothing more to add. Get involved and define Africa as Africans, or refrain from complaining when others come to take advantage of endowment we take no interest in controlling optimally. It is a dog eat dog world and the PHD many Africans parade amount to nothing when we continue to insist on playing victims. I think it is only African who never got the "survival of the fittest" script hence their perpetual desire to always talk like weak, little children being bullied by others. At no stage do some African ever pause to think that "charity begins at home".
