Yea,this is not about Jonathan,It has got little to do with OBJ along with other annihilators we call leaders except that they certainly have larger deposit of 'Nigeria enzyme' than any other average compatriot of theirs. That's a digress. It's got everything to do with me,with you and every one of us.That has the animal-like instinct.Way back in 17th century,Thomas Hobbes probably had Nigerians n mind when he penned the levitation.Forget that Nigeria never existed then but read through the following lines and tell me that they do not fit Nigeria and Nigerians.Disagree with me if you think they do not describe es.Feel free to impress it on me that we are not that bad.'Whatsoever therefore; is consequent to a Time or War,where every man is Enemy to every man,the same is consequent to the Time, wherein men live without other security, than what their own strength and their own invention can furnish them with all.In such condition, there is no place for industry;because the fruit thereof is uncertain;and consequently no navigation, nor use of the commodities that may be imported by sea,no commodious building;no instrument of moving or removing such things as required more force;no knowledge on the face of the earth;no account of time;no art;no letters;no society; and which is worst of all continual fear, danger of violent death;and the life of man ;solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short' I know Shobiye-shode Funmi very well.I can vouch for her integrity. The story of a good Samaritan was perhaps fictional but it was to teach us something. But that is alien to us.Don't let me jump the gun...you be the judge. Please read her non-fictional story of our Nigeria and declension of our values:
I weep of my country as i write,i feel tired, drained and empty,I cried myself to bed last night and could not sleep of a wink.Going home last night around 9pm on the Lagos Apapa Expressway(5 star us stop)I found a group of about 15 men hovering around a young man lying on the road. They can't all be thieves, this must be an emergency so i reversed to ask what the matter was.The man had been hit by a car and one of the men had pulled him to the other side of the road so that other vehicles would not run over him.He was still alive but not talking.I volunteered to take him in my SUV to the nearest hospital at Isolo if the men could help put him in my car and at least 2 of them to follow me,but standing by were 2 policemen in uniform who told me they could not go with me saying the have called for help. One of them was reeking of alcohol.10mins latter, the patrol van arrived and still did nothing to help the victim.I cried and screamed for them to help the man,but one of them told me 'this van no be ambulance' Does my SUV I asked but still volunteered to take the victim if at list 1 of the policemen would go with me.They obliged .20mins had passed.TIME PRECIOUS IS AN EMERGENCY.The patrol van did not lead me out of the traffic to the emergency room of the hospital, driving against the traffic before the police van. The Lady doctor and the nurses looked at the victim in my car snd say they couldn't help since he had head injury and a leg badly fractured. They had no neurosurgeon neither do they have an ambulance that could convey him.Isolo General Hospital had no ambulance, could that be true? They advised that i should take him to LASUTH without a policeman or a medical personnel in my car,Too Risky, table could turn against me,what if he dies before i get there, that would turn to a Police-case.What else could i have done?I wept openely and went back home in my blood soaked car.I went back to Isolo General Hospital this morning anly to see their ambulance packed neatly. The medical team I saw this morning said he was taken to LASUTH aound 11:30pm but there were no bed and could not be admitted is what they claimed happened when they got him to Lagos Island General Hospital,so he was brought back to isolo General Hospital where he died around 5pm.HIs name was IFEANYI OKEZIE.
NAIRALANDERS;The Nigerian system has failed us all,it has failed Ifeanyi Okezie and many other victims of his circumstance. To the hit and run driver who failed to help him;you belong to hell and will definitely get there. To the medical personnel at isolo general hospital who didn't bother to give any form o aid.....you all belong to same place 'HELL' To the so called 'police officers' who refused to help or escort her to LASUTH with the victim...the wrath of God is already upon u all.To that guy who went to her quietly and said 'aunty don't risk taking him if the policeman doesn't go with u,if he doesn't live to tell the story they will think you did it,and said he dragged him off the road so that other vehicles would not crush him.....I say that God bless your soul
To we Nigerians I weep.We need a revolution. The must be cleansed of corrupt leaders who does nothing but mass looting of our resources.Things are falling apart,The centre is not holding anymore. We are matured enough in democracy to stand tough and fight in voting in leader who would campaign without giving us pen and deprive us of our tuition.May God help us all. Amen
