Nyako Set To Dump Pdp….holds Secret Talks With ACN, CPC by horlatunde(m): 8:16am On Feb 06, 2013
After losing out in the battle for the
control of the Adamawa State chapter
of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,
there are strong indications that
Governor Murtala Nyako has concluded
plans to dump the ruling party.
Nigerian Pilot checks reveal that he
has commenced secret talks with the
Congress for Progressive Change, CPC,
and Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.
Nyako has been having running battles
with the PDP national chairman, Dr.
Bamanga Tukur since October last
year, following the sack of the
Adamawa PDP executive committee by
the party’s National Working
Committee, NWC.
Despite the intervention of the PDP
Governors’ Forum and a palace coup by
some members of the NWC, the
national leadership of PDP has
remained unwavering in its recognition
of the winners of the recent congresses
in Adamawa State.
It was gathered from very reliable
sources within the camp of Governor
Nyako that the embattled Governor is
making arrangements for ‘plan B’ as
the possibility of his anointed successor
getting the PDP governorship ticket is
getting very slim.
According to our source, the governor
has detailed his Chief of Staff,
Abdulrahman Abba, to commence
negotiations with the proponents of the
mega party who are leaders of CPC
and ACN.
“The Governor is already discussing
with those working to set up a mega
party. The Chief of Staff, Abdulrahman
Abubakar is the go-between for the
Governor and all things being equal,
our camp will join the mega party if
the merger plan succeeds.”
Responding to questions on the
possibility of members of the opposition
accepting Governor Nyako, our source
said the Governor came into the PDP
from an opposition political party.
“You know the Governor has always
been General (Muhammadu) Buhari’s
man for several decades. He was
Buhari’s coordinator in Adamawa over
a decade ago and Buhari’s presence in
the mega party will pave way for the
Governor”, he said. Nigerian Pilot also
gathered that Governor Nyako was
compelled to explore the possibility of
joining the proposed mega party
following his failed attempt to buy over
members of the Adamawa Caretaker
Committee that conducted the recent
congresses in the state.
The members of the committee were
said to have snubbed clandestine
invitations by the Governor at the heat
of the Adamawa crisis.
Our checks revealed that when
members of the committee initially got
to Yola, they were given cold reception
by the Governor who never bothered
about their welfare.
“Rather than reaching out to the
Caretaker Committee members, the
Governor was wasting money on
members of the National Working
Committee in Abuja with the hope they
could turn the table in his favour.
“He only remembered the Caretaker
Committee when it was already too
late and there was nothing they could
do to accommodate the Governor’s
interest during the conduct of the fresh
congresses”.
Our source, however, feigned ignorance
of the speculations in Adamawa State
that the Governor is preparing his son
to succeed him in 2015.

Not a surprise.
It is common to have frustrated PDP crooks
decamp to ACN & CPC.

What is laughable though is when these crooks start calling themselves progressives.

And don't be surprised that Nigerians will be hailing such men, thinking that a new party makes a new man.
No, it is the men that makes the party and not the other way round.

I am yet to see any credible opposition in Nigeria. The opposition has a good number of representatives in the National Assembly, and what impact have they made over there?

Opposition is another word for alternative gateway to our coffers.

This is the algorithm.

1. Goal: get your hands on the national cake
2. Pass through the ruling party (in this case PDP)
3. if you succeed through the ruling party, get your hands on the national cake and stay put fight the opposition
4. if you fail through the ruling party, decamp
5. join the opposition
6. seek to pass through the opposition (Mega party)
7. if you succeed through the opposition, get your hands on the national cake
8. if you fail through the opposition party, ask, which is the ruling party?
9. Affiliate with the ruling party.

Atiku moved form PDP to ACN, from ACN back to the PDP.
I won't be surprised if the likes of him become the flag bearer of the Mega party.

Somebody please excuse me!
