THE Anambra State Government yesterday started the reconstruction of Obodoukwu Road, Okpoko which costs over N800 million.
Governor Peter Obi assured the people that he would not rest in his commitment to make Anambra State one of the best in Nigeria.
Also yesterday, Obi visited Golden Oil Industry at Harbour Industrial Zone, Onitsha.
He inspected its existing facilities and the new ones for building 40,000 tonnes feed meal.
Obi said the visit was to ascertain what the company had been doing and examine its request for more land for expansion.
He promised that his administration would assist the company.
The company’s Executive Director , Mr V. N. Dvioedy said Anambra State has not had it so good until Obi became governor.
He noted that from its former sorry state, Onitsah has become a pride under the Obi administration.
The company chief said this has made Onitsha one of the best places to invest in Nigeria.
On the industrial estate, vioedy said it was nicknamed “Atani Lake” because the area was heavily flooded.
But he said all that has become history with the provision of mass infrastructure.
