The former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasir el-Rufai has disclosed in his recently launched book, ‘The Accidental Public Servant‘ that the third term project said to have been pursued by former president Olusegun Obasanjo was fought to a halt by Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

According to him, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar took credit for the defeat of the project but the battle was actually fought head-on by Buhari.

Others he listed as part of the fight against the third term project were Dr. Usman Bugaje, Farouk Aliyu, Bala Na’Allah and Femi Gbajabiamila.
