12large1: Haruna lukman. Sunday MBA can pop up and score goals but he has so far put up a ghost performance he should be a back up for haruna

Sidney sam. Hands down will walk into our starting 11

Joel obi. Onazi is a good player but Joel is a better version of onazi

Sone aluko. Another good player will add depth to bench

Leon balogun. A great rightback still confused about Ambrose if he can perform like he did at nc then no but if not Leon balogun. Over our best 11 should be

Enyeama

Ambrose
Egueke
Oboabona
Echijile

Mikel
Joel
Haruna

Sidney sam
Emmanuel emenike
Victor Moses

This team is as good as eagles of 1994 take it to the bank even our second 11 is strong

Ejide

Balogun
Omeruo
Yobo
Taiwo

Onazi
Ogude
MBA/Nosa

Aluko
Ideye
Musa
ThankGod you are not the coach

At the moment the positions in the SE that need filling are right winger to bench or back up ahmed musa. Back up for v.moses and another decen striker bringing the number to four attackers. Another creative midfielder Apart from mikel. Decent right-back to take the load off ambrose and good left-back to back up or bench elderson

Remember he was a failure in Mali and Togo as a national coach.

...and now a hero in Nigeria.

honeric01:

Who exactly are these people going to replace?

Adeleye for Yobo (precise)

Joel Obi for who?
Haruna Lukman for who?
Kale Uche for who?

Maybe the thread should have been " who should replace who in this current super eagles squad"

They could be our bench...

Get your fact right before posting. Alaba never played the Champions league final against Chelsea. He was suspended. You must have mistaken him for Boateng.

Let's keep sentiments aside and face the facts. Let's learn from history! Recycling players over and over will not help our football. To illustrate, take the AFCON2010,we ended up in third place, inspite of the fact that we took a squad made up of mostly foreign-based players. Look at the World Cup of dat same year,we crashed out at the group stage, inspite of the fact that majority of the players we took there were foreign-based,professional players. Granted, this foreign-based players are making waves in their various European club, but when they are called to come and play for their country, they tend to play with a lackadaisical attitudes. They behave as if they are doing us a big favor by playing for us. Ofcoz, there are players among them who are willing and ready to play their heart out for this country, and they are the ones we shuld talk of inviting, not those over-rated,proud and arrogant players. Moreso, most of them are old, many of them will soon retire. How much can they contribute to the National thing at dis time? The bottomline is,lets focus on developing this current crop of players, and even invite more from the domestic clubs,i mean more of the home-based players who are hungry to win laurels and medals.
