Jarus: Are president, VP, governor or senator the only political positions that make one relevant?
You have a point there. But if I were Fashola, I would rather return my legal profession than seek for a seat in the house of reps. Another possibility is 'juicy' ministerial post if APC wins presidential election in 2015

Why don't you advice GEJ to return to the Lecture halls of whatever university he was allowed to teach in with his incomprehensible grammar? Another possibility is to advise his to take up the profession of him forefathers as deep sea fisherman.

Yes ooo! Fashola, post-2015, may go help Ghana fix their dilapidated railways, which is a headache for the recently elected president of Ghana
http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=253749
Ghana also has a shortage of fish, crabs, and lobster.... U think there's any way GEJ could be of help after he's booted out in 2015?

Oh, I forget, he might be cooling his heels in prison if Buhari becomes President, so I guess it's do or die, lies, mischieviousness and all types of calumny, right? Who will be the next Henry Okah, since the original one is doing time far away from his natural habitat?

Suddenly all the Fashola for president/vice president 'activists' have disappeared? So far no single post has defended that fantasy. It would appear these persons are miscreants and mischief makers after all

Jarus: Are president, VP, governor or senator the only political positions that make one relevant?

Thank you Jarus. Sometimes when I come here, I have to remind myself that there is a world out there totally different to the world we Nigerians portray on this forum!!!! Tony Blair was maxing out at £170,000.00 as Prime Minister. As one of the better prime ministers he is making upwards of £3-4 million per year, out of office, offering different services worldwide.

Some companies, because of the specialist knowledge and crisis management skills they know he has, pay him £400,000.00 per year to sit on a directors board and attend perhaps one AGM per year !!!

Yet, it is only Nigerians consumed with pettiness and frivolity, like the OP, who would suggest Fashola somehow loses out if he does not become President or VP in 2015. Why are we cursed to focus on individuals and never ideas in Nigeria? Fashola is a great man and those without issues, beyond Nigeria, will appreciate and reward that notion even if we obsessed with indulging our petty instincts and enmities in Nigeria. It is our collective loss if we make no place for Fashola in Nigerian leadership beyond his tenure. I remember telling folks Yar Adua will fail because he chose to freeze out the likes of Donald Duke rather than find ways to accommodate and use them to better Nigeria.

Guy, stop fooling yourself and desist from mischief. You don't have to fight everyone you perceive to be an opponent of GEJ. Folks like you, if sophisticated and liberal, should be praying the likes of Fashola, Akpabio, et al are the future of Nigerian politics instead of talking as if their non-involvement at a higher level is something to celebrate. If Fashola does not feature in an important office beyond 2015 then that is Nigeria's loss but you are too petty and feudal to understand the concept of Nigeria fielding her political best 11. Everthing is about your 'clique' for you.

He will be fighting to free himself from EFCC net.

Flees to London with the next Governor fighting to get him repatriated to account for billions of dollars he stole.

This country can move forward if we have- 1. Fashola or chales for president and Shakarau as senate president.the speaker can come from anywhere and the quality should not be deter.with this Nigeria will regain her lost quality of human value.

You need to check your brain and replace some damage that could make you paralyzed.
Fashola is a good example of effective leadership in our day. This man is the one to bring metro lane into Nigeria. He rejuvenate Lagos economy, most of his projects have a tremendous seduction to foreign investment.
Perhaps you're not aware of this- Lagos has a company that produce transformer which we previously procure abroad. In the next 5 years with the efforts of Fashola Lagos would be measure with Dubai in all infrastructures.

Son, go and find somewhere to lay your head and sleep off the ogogoro making you to misyarn. I had to laugh at your pea-brained analysis below driven by nothing but bad-belle for a man who has made an international name for himself as an outstanding administrator you know your messiah will never come close to if he spent 200 years in office. I know that is the real reason for your obsession with Fashola. The entire world loves the man yet many can now not bring themselves to have regard for GEJ. If Cameron is not mocking him as corrupt, Amanpour is taking the mickey grin grin

Let me ask you a question. Tony Blair too was a lawyer. Why did he not pick up his wig and go back into private practice after finishing as PM?

Your Messiah GEJ nko? What will he do after office? Head back to the lecture hall? Probably. There will not much demand for a mediocre administrator, openly criticised and disdained by other world leaders. Sadly, GEJ, unlike Fashola and the Blairs of the world, has no redeeming grace as he is only known for lacking political will, being devoid of sincerity, making problems worse and perambulate while the house burns.

It would appear that after leaving office in 2015, Fashola would be left with no other option but to face a private life, and most likely pick up the wig and gown once again and go back to the legal profession. If need be some of us will be glad to hire him to argue our case.

Fashola has a big future ahead of him even outside political office. That's a given. On the other hand, Goodluck if he fails in 2015, will end up worse than Shehu Shagari. Worse because the north has a way of taking care of their own; Something I'm not sure the South-South has the necessary political cohesion to pull.

@OP

Fashola's future is secure because he has spent his today doing his work diligently. Worry about your own future.
