I want to advice foolish and gullible Nigerians (especially those outside yorubaland) buying foolishly into the planted media hype of Babatunde Fashola to better grow some brains. What will I even call those APC faithfuls? Brainless.
ACN is undemocratic. How can you sell us ACN when one man is in charge of all the finances in ACN states and uses it as it pleases him even for non state functions like his birthday and buying tickets to party Congresses in America. This element named Tinubu aka Tinubu handpickes all political candidates even down to councillors. Democracy?
Back to the fraud and bigot called fashola who up till this moment cannot account for N40billion naira allocation monthly x 6 years.

-He unleashed the military on protesters and cowardly recoiled like a true son of his region to blame it on the Federal Government.

- He deported both indegenes and non indegenes alike outside Lagos state

- He used okadas to run his campaign and once again employed the military to sack them ruthlessly

- No remarkable dividend of democracy in Lagos State

- He, as a proud bigot and jealous of the igbo dominance in Lagos state shut down Ladipo market to fight igbos, a market that is not even amongst the dirtiest in Lagos State.

(continued)

-He lacks the spirit of democracy. He would wake up after a meal of tuwo and amala and announce the destruction of of a slum without proffering any alternative or compensation to the HUMAN residents.

- I honestly doubt his LAW background and ask that we get enough proof that he indeed went to LAW school.

- He is secretive about governance. He forced his officials to an oath of secrecy. big hmmmmmmm (I smell fraud). Even civil society groups are not happy with this move.

- As a proof of his lack of governance attributes, he paid a whooping $500,000 to import a celebrity s.lut (despised even in her country) to visit. Thus desecrating the seat of government

-His house of assembly speaker has a permanent space in EFCC building

-What more can I say?

ACN/Fashola are only fit for South West Nigeria. May God punish anybody who wishes ACN/Fashola on Nigeria.

ok concluded.

Even Tinubu is more Democratic than Fashola who skyrocketed LASU school fees from under N25k to over N300k. Highest school fees jump percentage by any government in history.
Hmmm. This democracy tie better wrapper.

Councillor lives in America, collects salary in Nigeria

Olufemi Oluseyi Onisarutu, a two-time councillor in Somolu Local Government Area of Lagos State has always been in the eye of the storm.
After the drama in 2007 when residents alleged that Onisarutu was imposed on the people of Ward B in Somolu Local Government Area by a his godfather, who is also his uncle, this time the residents are alleging a more grievous offense.
They are alleging that since he was inaugurated for a second term, he has been “living large” in the United States of America and yet collecting his salaries and allowances as a councillor in Nigeria.
Onisarutu’s alleged absence from his official duties has become a cause for concern and is causing tension among councillors in Somolu LGA, who cannot explain his whereabouts.
In an earlier complaint, the people of Ward B stated that Onisarutu should not have been sworn in as their councillor since he does not reside in Somolu but on Olateju Street, which is in Mushin.
A source in Somolu, who does not want his name in print, said: “Can you imagine the Somolu LGA paying an absentee councillor his monthly salary and other entitlements while the councillor is in the United States of America with his family after winning a visa lottery since 2011?
“You can imagine now that for three years, Olufemi has been receiving his salary as a councillor in Nigeria whereas he has not been on ground.
“His account is with Skye Bank.
“Also, apart from the fact that the councillor is paid, so so-called elders of the Action Congress of Nigeria are aiding and abetting him after sharing part of his salary and entitlements.
“As if that was not enough, the Somolu council chairman recently purchased some vehicles and allocated them to the councillors and some political office holders.
“Can you imagine that the family of the absentee councillor also got his boot yon his behalf?
“Initially, they gave him a medical exemption letter for three months but this has run into years.
“Those who complained and asked questions on the nature of his illness were ‘silenced’.”
Another source added: “Recently, members of his (Onisarutus) family came to move his own car away from where it was parked at the council.
“Some days to the last local government election, Onisarutu flew into town and left the third day after he was fraudulently declared the winner of the election.
“He also came for the verdict of the tribunal, after which he has not been to Nigeria but continues to receive money through criminal connivance with the ACN.
The residents of Ward B have started the process of recalling him.”
A stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party, who also spoke on the condition of anonymity, said: “Since this councillor became a councillor for the second term, through rigging, he has not performed his official duty up to 10 days in office.
“If a member of PDP or any other party has done that, the ACN would have cried foul.
“After the last local government election, the guy relocated to the United States and only came once to collect his backlog of salaries.
“So this is what is happening in Somolu Local Government Area and nothing is going to happen since this is what the ACN does as they are in charge in Lagos State.”

If you do a head count of those that are citicizing Fashola on Nairaland, you'll notice that they are from the Eastern part of the country or their political affiliation is PDP. Even those that have no business with Lagos state or reside in it are the people that their voices are loudest against him.....I wonder why?? These are the same people that laugh loudest at slums in Lagos and now that something's being done about it, they suddenly become so concerned about its residents. Lagos/Nigeria has been lawless for so long and this is the man to shake it out of Nigerians. Its only normal they fight back.

Re: Fashola A Military Governor In Civilian Uniform by CyberG: 10:02pm On Mar 04, 2013
OP is another ibotic idiota. Fashola controls the Nigerian military and he unleashed it on the citizens, are you sooo STUPI.D!? The governor does not even control the commissioner of police who reports to the IG in Abuja who in turn reports to the president! The people of Lagos voted for ACN and Fashola, what is ibo problem with that? The market is "LADIPO" not an ibo name I think, is it compulsory you sell in the market when iboland is New York + London! The dirty ibo traders messed up the environment and market, will not clean it up, yet they shift every blames to their Lagos hosts, ain't you all crazy!? None of your governors even comes close to Ajimobi, the recent term governor of Oyo talk less of Fashola. Is it the perpetual traveller Chime who doesn't owe you any explanation; Okorocha that is deceiving Imolites with empty rhetoric or Obi that you will compare to Fashola? Look, let the market be totally shut, all the ibo traders returned to their iboland. Go and open a market that grosses 100 B per say in iboland.

What Extra ordinary thing has Fashola really achieved that Akpabio and Amechi has not tripled except for throwing a N2B (2 Billion Naira) Birthday Bash for an ex convict and using N80 M to entertain a porn Actress for 45 miniutes.

This man has the attitude of cutting off his head anytime he has a head ache take for instance the sacking of Doctors over pay dispute leading to loss of Lives and productivity , Closing of Markets over Environmental issues leading to loss of Revenue ,Business and taxes , Demolition of Settlement of poor people without making an alternative abode leading to impoverishment of poor people ,displacement of people and increase in crime , frustration and prostitution

Fashola has made it clear that its not about your money with the closing of Ladipo. Its about sanitizing our environment. Get that and stop writing essays all over NL. Yes, please open a thread on Akpabio's acheivements, I'd like to see them. Apart from roads with streetlights. Is that all that he's done?? Educate us that don't know.

Don't get me wrong, I'm aware Fashola can be very one-dimensional in his approach to solving issues. Some of his policies have affected me negatively but anytime i get angry, I remind myself how Lagos used to be before he came in. I don't ever want to go back to that Lagos of the past.

chosen04: Fashola is a big charade.

To put it more subtle, Him and his Godfather (Tinubu)have fashioned out a way to empty the state's coffer and blamed it on the federal government non-release of state's allocation. It is no doubt a dramatized political charade. The circus called development sponsored by the pro-fashola administration is coming to an end in the next republic.
