Hello guys, I just bought a Toyota Camry 2001 model, and even though I changed the shock absorbers immediately I got it, I still feel that the car is too low to the ground (I am more used to SUVs). Someone suggested I replace the 15 inch rims that came with the car with 16 inch rims and bigger tires. Has anyone in the house done something similar? are there any adverse performance effects? Answers welcome. Thanks.

Its not effect the performance.You can do these.

I did it when i was driving golf those days, no effect whatsoever.

15 inch is certainly the best option on the 2001 Camry

it doesnt really lift your car that much. Probably a gain of one inch. however, using longer shocks might do the trick. it did on mine.

Please i need you to explain to us what an increment in rims has got to do with an automobile fuel consumption. This is a section mainly occupied by matured minds, if you say NO to something, then u 've gat prove ur point to convince the Op. If he knows better, he wouldnt have asked us about it in Car section.

A 16-inch has a larger surface area if using a 205 tyre.force times perpendicular distance translates to more fuel consumption.the best performance accessories are the ones mathematically designed for the cars by the manufacturers.
