Re: Official NPFL Thread. (nigerian Professional Football League) by uduokirika1(m): 2:10pm On Mar 17, 2015 |
taiocol: stop deviating from the argument. we are discussing stars that have been produced by our local clubs. Currently Azubuike is at his peak yet he could not get any foreign contract after touring all Europe and scandinevian countries he is now back to Nigeria. Taye on the other hand had played in some of Europe's best clubs and is still playing till date!!! At his peak he was never a bench warmer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But your super star Azubuike Egwuekwe was,is and will continue to be a bench warmer even at his peak!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hope rises for Dolphins, as CAF orders team to remain in Tunisia There are indications that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) may order a replay of the Confederation Cup game between Nigeria’s Dolphins and Club Africain of Tunisia following a CAF order that Dolphins should remain in Tunisia till the weekend when decision would be taken on the match. Then Tunisian side at the weekend walked over Dolphins when the Nigerian team did not arrive at the stipulated time for the pre-match meeting and the game proper. But Dolphins petitioned CAF, pleading force majeur. The team insist they arrived in the country in good time for the game, after late departure though. They added, however, that they were delayed at the airport for two hours and then taken on a merry go round on the streets of Tunisia before arriving at the stadium after walk over formalities had been concluded. Dolphins added that they wrote to CAF on Thursday, March 12, through the NFF, before departure from Lagos requesting the game to be moved from Saturday, March 14 to Sunday. Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) General Secretary, Musa Amadu, said yesterday that the federation has received letter signed by Khaled Naddar, a Deputy Director at CAF in the competitions department dated March, 16, 2015 ordering Dolphins to remain in Tunisia till the determination of their protest. The letter reads in part: “Reference to the above mentioned match, which was initially scheduled on March 14, 2015; we would like to request your team Dolphins to stay in Tunis until a decision is reached and communicated to the club and NFF.” |

Evestar200: "... and Enyimba?" Where are you getting your news from? Enyimba defeated Smouha 1-0 in Aba on Sunday in the CAF Champions league first round first leg match. The Egyptian team came with a plan to pick a draw, but Enyimba got the victory they deserved.enyimba-new Enyimba mounted continuous pressure which yielded result in the 55th minute when substitute Rapahel Boumsong headed in Nonso Okonkwo’s cross. Enyimba set the ball rolling as early as fourth minute when Kingsley Sokari powers in a 25 yards shot off Peter Onyekachi’s pass but Smouha goalkeeper Mahdy Soluman punched it away. The Egyptian team, Smouha played mostly defensive but Enyimba have been doing all the attack. Daniel Etor’s effort in the 20th minute comes off the goal post. On the half hour mark, Daniel Etor took out three Smouha players in front of the box but could not get a return pass from Aloma who was waiting for the ball. In the 46th minute, Smouha missed a chance to take the lead through Amr Elmen who dribbled past Udoji but failed to hit the target. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/enyimba-pip-smouha/ |
