During his condolence visit to the Emir of Kano and the state governor over the recent bomb attacks in the state, former Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu made some comments about amnesty for members of Boko Haram which has been a dicey topic for weeks with people taking different sides to the argument.

However, his special adviser on media, Mr. Sunday Dare said he was misquoted, releasing a statement containing his actual statement.

Here is the statement the special adviser released.

"I support the granting of amnesty to the sect but with some conditions, which includes justice for those people with blood in their hands because it will go along way in discouraging such dastardly acts in future. If you call Boko Haram ghosts, what of their members that were arrested and are in various prisons? These people are human beings and through them, their
colleagues can be known and talked to."

No amnesty for faceless terrorist...the two statements are essentially the same. These BH guys are like Oliver Twist...which of their demands will they drop for the amnesty n how r we sure they will not renege after the amnesty?...again d difference btween BH n Niger Delta Militant is like day n nyt...e.g how many unprovoked n senseless attack on civilian population or place of worship did d militants carry out; none...so people lyk Tinubu who justify amnesty for BH on basis of d one earlier granted Militants r poor in comparative analysis or study or they know d truth but say wot they say for political expediency!
