Just a gelatin †✽ ur whipped cream
2cups cream(chilled)
1tablespoon sugar
2tsp gelatIn
4tbs water
1tsp vanIlla
Chill all ur tools,ur mixing bowl etc
Whipp ur cream with sugar until u see whisk mark on the cream. Disolve ur gelatin in water put in a micowave †✽ disolve,allow †✽ cool totally .add gelatin †✽ your cream little by little and whisk gently. If gelatin isn't added little by little u might end up having butter

Why do cakes burn by the sides and at the top while in the oven when its not yet done?

If your cake is getting burnt, it simply means that you are baking with too much heat.
Reduce the heat and make sure your pan is placed in the center of the oven. If you are baking with more than oone pan, make sure the pans are not touching each other.

Dreamsinbc: Hmmmm, it will be quite a task whipping up the egg whites o. If you dont have a mixer, I would suggest a whisk, not a wooden spoon for the egg whites.

Am I supposed to bake on the hard oven tray or on d rack cos my cake always get burnt when using d hard tray even when d temp is at the lowest. Thank u

By hard tray I think u talking about the hard tray that shields the flame from coming directly frm the oven burner,if thats wot u r refering †✽ then its a no.put u oven rack in the middle of ur oven.get an oven thermomether †✽ gauge the temp of ur oven.

Please I need ur helps grin

I make buttercream icing yesterday and it came out very grainy. As in u can still taste the sugar. I used icing sugar and bit the butter until fluffy. But I can't seem to understand why the icing came out grainy.
Has anyone experienced this before?

@Meddler, the simple buttercream icing we make ie American Buttercream always tends to be gritty. The only thing you can do is beat the heck out of it. It's my least favourite. Have you tried Swiss Meringue BC?

Hi Meddler, the longest I've kept it is 2 days at room temperature. I've never had the chance to try it for longer than that.

@meddler that chocolate does not have a brand name it just wrapped in a transparent nylon with the weight written on it I think.pls do u know where I can get vanilla extract not essence in abuja

@dreams went †✽ utako market but its still the normal wilton vanilla . I want something like real madagascar vanilla. I bought frm amazon but I need where I can get in town.

@Bece, it was because u asked for extract, Wilton vanilla is the only vanilla extract I've found here. I also bought Madagascar from Amazon, don't know about finding it here. Check Dunes sha.
@Meddler, you can find Hershey's cocoa powder at Amigos or Dunes

@bece please am in need of a speech on how to present a cake at a wedding reception. I bake and decorate well but when called on to present the wedding cakes,am speechless and don't know what to say. Its hurting so baldly. Please help me out. God bless u and all yours.
