Afam4eva:You know this is Alexa ranking? You understand these apps also have their stand alone websites like tweetdeck, writelonger, dabr etc which wouold also get their Alexa rankings? I'd like you to tell me when Alexa started tracking applications too. TNot trying to take anything away from nairaland traffic but the truth is most people don't access twitter though mobile or web as it is not interesting throuh those means. They rather use apps, unlike for facebook or nairaland. So judging Twitter traffic by its web analysis is a huge fallacy. |

One commodity that is very scarce in naija is honesty. I just don't know why Nigerians aint honest. I love NL but the truth is, 80% of the people around me have never used NL and many of them don't even know what it is. But all these people know twitter. They might not really use twitter much, but they know it. NL in my opinion is not up to 100k users and that is even being generous. The biggest thing in Naija is facebook. Everybody uses facebook. Next should be youtube. Then the rest. I think NL should just keep working and improving instead of talking. Nigeria is an untapped market but it bothers me that the upcoming generation cannot harness the potentials because they are too petty and visionless. LADY OF RAGE: I just asked 10 students of LASU now about nairaland and they said they no nada about Nairaland. surprisingly, they all have twitter accounts. so how come NL is popular than twitter? mtscheeew! lol.....you are funny, some of this sites are generational in appeal. Maybe you should also ask 10 people who are looking for jobs if they've heard of nairaland. Simple case, go to a primary school and ask how many of you used a pencil yesterday and also go to a university and ask same question. Though i think the poll did not take into consideration the app users. Anyways. I have two facebook accounts and i can count countless others who have more than one as well.....if facebook will advertise they will only tell us we have 500 mil users! I op you get my drift |
