1. All 3 characters dotcom domain names have been taken long ago; all combinations of LLN, LNL, NLL, LLL, and NNN are taken already (Hint: L means letter while N means number). On their value, I believe it will fetch some low $X,XX from other investors or end users who feel they can use it.

2. All 4 letters (not characters) dotcom domain names have been taken long ago. You can always sell them for low $XX or more, depending on the letter combinations.

3. Don't even try to buy a 5 character combination of letter and numbers; it's worthless. There are still 4 character combination of letter and numbers available that are also worthless. For example, a1c4 dot com is available and it is worthless. The rule for 5 character domain names is that the characters must be letters only and it must be pronounceable.

Thanks so much for taking your time to replying my questions!

How ever, I could stand tall and say I understood your reply from a-z

Pls, I still have more questions!

1, Domains with hyphens, are they good, let's say 2 word domain

For example buy-coffee.com or any other related hyphens domains

2, Would you advice a beginner to buy and resell expired or deleted domains OR registering and selling?

3.Could you please give hint on how to compose a good domain starting with

A, the maximum length
B, keyword(perhaps the ones you know that draw attentions of buyers
C,mistake to avoid in this biz

Thanks so much in advance.

Thanks so much for taking your time to replying my questions!

How ever, I could stand tall and say I understood your reply from a-z

Pls, I still have more questions!
Please don't hesitate to ask as many questions as you can. Our discussion will most likely be valuable to someone else too.

1, Domains with hyphens, are they good, let's say 2 word domain. For example buy-coffee.com or any other related hyphens domains
The truth is that hyphenated domains lose traffic to the non-hyphenated version and they also look unprofessional. This is why serious end users stay away from hyphened domains. However, Germans and other Europeans don't mind having a hyphenated domain name; in fact, they pay top dollar for it. If you want to go the 'hyphen route,' follow these instructions:
a. The two words (combined) must be a noun; a name for a popular good or service e.g. Cloud-Storage dot com, Hemp-Seeds dot com, Hotel-Booking dot com, etc. I think buy-coffee is not good enough.
b. Buy only dot com. Hyphen makes a domain less valuable already. So, buying a hyphenated non-dot com is like flushing money down the toilet.

2, Would you advice a beginner to buy and resell expired or deleted domains OR registering and selling?
Yes. If you can afford to buy at expired domain auctions, please do. However, you need to know how to spot a good name before you dabble into buying relatively expensive expired domain names at auctions. Handregging for $2 (max) gives you a lot of time to get it right when it comes to knowing what to buy.

3.Could you please give hint on how to compose a good domain starting with

A, the maximum length
B, keyword(perhaps the ones you know that draw attentions of buyers
C,mistake to avoid in this biz
Please don't compose a domain from your head. If a name is good enough that you can compose it in your head, you can be rest assured it is already taken.

Maximum length - There is no particular threshold for length in domain though it is advisable to stay away from very long domain names. The rule is "shorter is better" because humans have a short attention span.

Keywords - I don't know the type of domains you buy so it will be difficult for me to suggest a keyword. If you want to know what keywords are drawing the attention of the buyers, go and read sales reports. DNJournal, TLDInvestors, Namebio, NamePros' Sales Report Thread and TheDomains (all in dot com) should be of help here.

Mistakes to avoid - Read more than you buy. A lot of people are buying domain names even when they are yet to fully grasp the fundamentals of domaining. Join NamePros dot com. For every sale that you see, research and see for yourself why the domain sold for that much.

Have a nice day.

In fact, I'm very much happy and satisfied with your answers!...never knew I could meet someone like you online who will reveal things like this without asking a penny, I'm so grateful!....base on ur answers, you have moved my ass from level to levels!

But I have more questions!, and I would be glad if answered like initials

1
, Would you advice a beginner to use appraisal tool?
I had my finders busy on my phone browsing for good flippable domains and I got a domain which I think would yield green!. I registered with freevaluator dot com and it values the domain 355$, the domain is in this form
"Five............dotcom
If I were to depend on the appraisal, I would register the name, but pro like you may take it with a somewhat eye and look down on it in disdain, so I want to know, if a domain name is gotten, and it has a great appraisal , should it be registered?

2

I took my self much time on expireddomains dot net and various domains popped up, I will love to know, are there any criteria in choosing an expired or deleted names other than the quality of the names?,
I could see boxes that have "PR, BL, DP, ABY, Alexa Dmoz C N O D
Do they give much qualities to name(expired names)? If yes

What would you give as the minimum for each??

3

What if I find a word dot org and other different from dot com, for example, life.org stopwars.org , realestatedot info or anything other than dot com (I know the listed names have been registered, just saying)
Would you say they should be bought?

Thank you and remain Blessed

Google has acquired the 2-letter domain name YT.com.
The domain does not direct to any website as of now, but I suppose it will direct to YouTube in a couple of days.
According to the DomainTools Whois History Tool, YT.com was previously registered under privacy at Dynadot. As of today, the Whois information is public, and Google is listed as the domain name registrant. The domain name is now registered at Mark Monitor. It looks like Google bought YT.com very recently.

Considering the fact that Facebook paid $8.5 million for Fb.com, we can say that the sale would be for 7-figure atleast

Hello bosses in the house I need your advise on the statement below;

Assuming isaw a name for instance luxurygirls.com that is available, and luxury girls portrait.com has been taken, is it advisable that I secure or register the former which available and sell it to the owner of the later?

Very effective. I have used it once. There is a time frame stated during which they are usually online. Once they are online they will answer you but you have to provide the four digit number you filled in when you signed up.

@oladayo042. What do you think about .co domain extensions ? Secondly, namecheap domain registration is not cheap even with their promo coupons..
If you want to buy .co domain names, let it be either:
a. Three letters (good English alphabets) - This category tends to be sellable for low XX or more.
b. Generic domain names -
c. Trend domain names - When a new trend comes out, domainers scramble to cover all bases in terms of domain extensions. The initial attention will be focused mainly on dot com and those who take the risk of picking the .co get rewarded handsomely. The domain name must be the category killer for the new trend.

However, .co is a big gamble to take at $13 a pop and $2X for renewal on most registrars. If you want to buy a .co, you better be sure you are buying one that will sell.

2. Why not use GoDaddy as a starter? Buying at $2 per domain gives you more leeway, in terms of finance, to get it right. Every $10 you spend per domain at Namecheap can be used to buy five names at GoDaddy.

@oladayo042, how effective is the live chat support of godaddy ? I don't know if you've tried it..
See @goldtooth answer above. Their chat system is very effective.

What prompted you to register TorontoHenna? NewYorkCityHenna dot com is still available, btw.

-I registered on afternic and i was told to change my domain nameserver, what will i input in my host option on the domain edit file?
If you use GoDaddy, click on the small arrow in front of the domain name and select 'Set Nameservers.'

-I also registered on sedo and did the certification, but instead of getting certified i was banned, what document should i send to claim my account back.
Contact their support and tell them about your account. They will ask you to send a valid ID and utility bill.

If you use GoDaddy, there will be a small downward-facing arrow in front of all your domain names under 'My Domains.' Click on that arrow and select 'Set Nameservers.' GoDaddy and Afternic will supply you with what you should put in those boxes, usually NS1.AFTERNIC.COM AND NS2.AFTERNIC.COM for Afternic.
