Residents Laud Uduaghan Over Drainage Projects

DELTA State Government has been commended for the massive construction of drainage systems in all parts of  Asaba, the state capital.

The commendation came from some residents in Asaba yesterday.

A community leader in the area, Ogbueshi James Unoka who is the chairman Ezenei Asset Management Committee,  thanked the Governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan for all the completed and ongoing drainage projects in Asaba. He noted that when completed the yearly flooding in Asaba will be a thing of the past as the flood will be properly channeled to the River Niger.

Mrs Florence Magbo, a house wife also  lauded the government adding that the flood situation in Umuagu where she reside is a yearly problem but maintained that with drainages constructed in most streets of the quarter, the flooding would be a thing of the past.

In like manner, Madam Ngozi Ojei, from Umuezei quarters, gave kudos to the governor and his cabinet for embarking on the drainage construction as it has given them hope and joy.

Others lauded the projects adding that it will prepare the area against NIMEIT Flood projection for the state but urged the government to ensure that the contractors handling the jobs did better projects.

Thank him also for spending about N12 billion on Sewers in Delta State..
