Of course monarchs, presidents and heads of state are in it for more than the paycheck, but from a purely financial viewpoint, it's more rewarding to be the prime minister of Singapore than the PM of Spain. (And let's hope the president of Cyprus doesn't have all his money in the bank.)

Elizabeth II, queen of England: annual salary $54.5 million
Lee Hsien Loong, prime minister of Singapore: annual salary $1.7 million
Donald Tsang, chief executive officer of Hong Kong: annual salary $550,000
Barack Obama, president of the United States: annual salary $400,000
Angela Merkel, chancellor of Germany: annual salary $321,325
Stephen Harper, prime minister of Canada: annual salary $316,007
Jean-Claude Juncker, prime minister of Luxembourg: annual salary $270,055
Edna Kenny, prime minister of Ireland: annual salary $257,060
Francois Hollande, president of France: annual salary $230,068
David Cameron, prime minister of Britain: annual salary $221,071
Demetris Christofias, president of Cyprus: annual salary $203,785
Mariano Rajoy, prime minister of Spain: annual salary $96,397
Mario Monti, prime minister of Italy: Monti has given up his entire salary.
