After reading the unrecognised achievements of MRS FUNMILAYO RANSOME KUTI, it made me think. If more Nigerian women paid as much attention to Politics as they do to their Brazilian weaves, Shopping and other peoples' business. We would be a great nation by now.

lie! What you have said is a feminist propaganda. Naija can only be better if better people (men or women) are in positions of authority.

Isnt it funny that you are quick to mention fela's mother and you are silent about patricia etteh?
The "what a man can do a woman can do better" has ABSOLUTELY no thruth in it! It is only said so that women can feel better about themselves.

Apologies for not mentioning 'Patricia Etteh', however, I was NOT reading a trend with her name on it. To be fair I do not see half as many serious posts about the GOOD Nigerian women do for and in Nigeria. They are the unmentionables.

@op it is not our fault we dont mention them. How many of them are in politics? It is no surprise then that they hardly achieve in politics. Wnen you have more people, then the possibility of you acheiving much is higher.

And no, we are not the reason women are not in position of power like some people would FEMINISHLY say. How many ladies on their own like anything politics? Why dont you sit your girlfriend down and try to discuss politics and see if she isnot going to call you boring!

So if this is the attitude of women to politics why then do we accuse men for under participation of women in politics? Could this be an evidence of a cronic hatred for the male gender?
If you give women the 35 percent what ever, you are only going to OVER represent them and under represent men.

Nope, they won't be any better. If anything, they'll be more worse and brutal. My judgment is based on d present women in govt. Diezani, okonjo, Dame Jonathan (this one isn't even a public office holder and is already misbehaving) etc. All corrupt, proud and rude.

As in every gender, we have GOOD and BAD. IF we just focus on the BAD apples at the top of the basket, we will neglect the fresh small good ones at the bottom, who are fighting to get to the top. As with every fresh fruit, IF it is not eaten within time it will soon rot and die.
