BIAFRA GROUP WARNS AGAINST AMNESTY TO BOKO HARAM, THREATENS REPRISAL

THE Biafra Liberation Council (BLC) has warned that it would no longer restrain reprisal attacks by armed Igbo youths if the Federal Government went ahead to grant amnesty to the terror group, Boko Haram.


Giving this warning in a statement circulated by its spokesman, Amaechi Nwaofia, on Wednesday, the BLC also warned it would hold President Goodluck Jonathan and other officials in his administration responsible for the killings of Igbo people by the sect.
They expressed surprise that the Federal Government was considering amnesty for thegroup which security agencies had identifiedas being populated by foreigners, inferring that the Federal Government would be sponsoring foreign aggression on law abiding citizens of Nigeria by devoting national wealth to fund such an amnesty programme.


The group also observed that President Jonathan’s insistence on going on with the planned amnesty programme would also be affirming allegations from some sections of the north that his administration had been sponsoring the terror group.

“Interestingly, it is on records that Nigeria’s immigration and other security authorities have said that Boko Haram is peopled by foreigners or foreign mercenaries from Cameroon, Niger, Chad, Mali, and so on. Is Nigeria granting amnesty to foreign terrorists? Is Nigeria paying compensation tothese foreign merchants of violence for attacking the people within the territory of Nigeria?

The FG shd not promote arms struggle via unnecessary granting of Amnesty but providing the enabling environment for security agencies to operate and Nab insurgencies against the state in the bud.....


The Govt should invest in Nigerians not Terrorists......!!!
