Why The Rush In Military Applicants? by flyboyAustine(m): 12:06am On Apr 13, 2013
Why has our youths resorted to joining the military now, when some years back it was seen as an occupation for people that's has been cast out by their parents.....why the rush now and what is the benefit(as a Nigeria army).

I prefer being a lieutenant in the army than being a shell worker!,its passion coupled with cash, respect and adventure.

I ve always been playing modern warfare and ending the game without being killed,so,I m tired of the level,I want real action.bt that's me.
For most pipu its the money, and we all believe that something must kill a man.

For me, the Military appeals to my spirit of adventure. I am thrilled by the level of discipline bein in the military usually (not in every case) instills. Being in the military takes you to places and leads you to people. Its a key to so many doors,if properly utilized would lead to opportunities to create wealth and impact the society!

Its all about the respect, and how instantaneous the effect it has on your life as soon as you are in the uniform!

Once you are an officer, things begin to looking promising even as a cadet!

To add to that, imagine an officer who is valuable to the army and ultimately to the government, close to being indispensable.

Imagine what favors and benefit lie await for such officer.... undecided

This is the type of mindset within the rank and file of the present officers cadre in the Nigerian Army. Your type have made the Soldiers and Non Commissioned Officers unmotivated to do the work the way l met it.

If you luv adventure, come and join us, but if you think the uniform is to oppress those ur to protect, the military is not for ur type.

If you came into it because of wealth, l recommend politics (EFCC awaits u). The military l joined isn‘t the type am seeing among the corps of junior officers. Thank God, we paid the ultimate price that impacted nations and cultures positively and ushered in the peace they enjoy today. Same cannot be said of the junior officers today.
