The political disagreement between Nigeria's president Goodluck Jonathan and Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi took a new dimension today as aviation agencies prevented the aircraft of the governor from leaving Akure Airport in Ondo State shortly after the governor and his aides returned from the burial of late deputy governor of Ekiti State, Olufunmilayo Olayinka.

SaharaReporters learnt that National Airspace management Authority operatives refused to give clearance to the governor's jet to take off leaving the governor and his aides stranded

Don't worry Amechi, they can only ground your plane now, nobody can ground your legs to Aso Rock in 2015!

GEJ's advisers will mislead him and he will be left alone when the time comes.

Sahara Reporters, incase you guys do not know, NAMA are trying to save Ameachi's live. Jonathan has more important issues to tackle than grounding Ameachi's private jet. You guys can only deceive little minds with your lies.

Point of correction!!! Chibuike Amaechi does not own a Jet Plane. The aforementioned plane belonged to Rivers State government. In addition, NAMA is not GEJ. If River State has problem or issue with NAMA over the status of the plane, it has to take it up with minister of aviation.

Thanks bro, dunno why SR and Premium times is hell bent on bringing GEJ's administration to disrepute, what most of the ignorant folks failed to realized is that aircrafts are not denied clearance for political reasons. The pilot knows better.

Either airport fees or some other radio discipline was not maintained or a VFR flight plan was submitted or million other issues that bothers on compliance with standard rules and practice.

The governor left with the speaker of the House of Rep after he was availed the reason behind the action without making much fuss, but characteristically in the usual warp reportage by Sahara Reporters, it was Jonathan's doing.

Acidtalk don land again oh!
Person wey get ear make him hear word.

Now who are these little minds spewing crap abour GEJ and Ameachi? Those two crooks should shoot themselves in the skull for all I care.

To those of you saying, the Jet is for Rivers State and not ameachi, care any citizen of Rivers State attempt to move several miles close to the jet not to even talk to boarding it (even if they offer to pay).

Isn't it Only Ameachi and his criminal aides that are galivanting all over the airspace with the private jet?

What name did Amechi use to buy the Jet? If he used Rivers State Government name, then he should throw it open either for Commercial or Charther use.

As For GEJ, the son of a poverty stricken Fisherman from Otueke, I don't have his time now.

2 foools fighting for a seat meant for 2years time not knowing if God will spare their lives to see the next 2 months.

Vanity! Greed!! Wickedness!!!

But, truth be told, Sahara Reporters are bringing themselves into too much disrepute with their kind of teenage reportage. How on earth now can we clearly point from this repot that GEJ was involved in any delays Amaechi and his jet might have faced in that airport? If it even happened in Abuja we'd have had a space for possible reservations in our minds. Or is Amaechi supposed to just be allowed to fly like birds in the skies without complying with aviation safety rules and standards just cos he's a gov? If they do so now and what happened to the Taraba man Dambaba Suntai happens to him or he dies like Patrick of Kaduna Nigerians will shout that Aso rock has done it.
Arise, O compatriots!
God bless Nigeria and Nigerians

May the king not go mad
Live and let live is the best advice to give
Even the king is nourished from the produce of the field
He who the gods want to destroy, they first make mad
Let the king not forget that
Abacha did and just one Indian apple undecided was enough to remind him he was no god
But the problem of history is man never learns from it

Yes. Obama rides with two identical private jets. One for him, one for backup.
