@Poster....Please, don't raise the hopes of job-seekers unnecessarily. Recruitment in SIBTC is based on need. That information was only supplied on their FB page to notify everyone that vacancies that arise from time to time would be posted on that page. However, you can register on that site in anticipation of vacancies. I hope this information provides clarity.

I strongly advise tge youths to delve into entrepreneurship. There's nothing in the labour market that beats being your own boss. Keep in mind that all these big coys were once small business, so why don't you own one now?

But i heard this same bank sacked 250 workers nationwide yesterday.
Do they sack those ones to get new hands ni or what?
Re: Stanbic IBTC Bank Recruiting by fittty(m): 5:58pm On May 01, 2013
Visafone sacks 60 workers, Stanbic IBTC sacks 250

Yesterday April 30th Visafone fired over 60 of their staff nationwide. Stanbic IBTC also sacked 250 of their staff. The sack takes effect from today May 1st.

The Stanbic IBTC sack yesterday crossed across all levels, from management to lower level staff and I hear this is just the first batch. The bank is planning to do another round later this year.

The sack at Stanbic yesterday only affected full staff employees as the bank intends to make its workforce 20% permanent staff and 80% contract staff. The total workforce before the sack yesterday was about 3000. The sad part is there are so many fresh graduates in the job market...and no jobs!

Didnt mean to mislead peps. Just only wanted to help out.
